That's what I was told. They've probably already seen it.
What area have you applied in?
thanks well it never said anything about sending them the crb check in my letter as I did the crb on the day of the interview, but I will I ring them up this morning because it came staright from Disclosure Scotland.
Bit annoyed cos it has taken nearly 2 months for it to be done!!!
anyways my area is Lincolnshire0 -
yknow if you all didn't base your knowledge on hearsay you'd probably all be a lot less confused! bizzare how many people's "friends" are blatent liars and say they have their results when they haven't been issued!
Also please think about this one... when you're pressing redial on that persons direct line... and you can't get through all morning.... they haven't been able to do their work because they've been on the phone all day explaining to people things that are explained in the letters!
what would you do if there wasn't a phone number? you probably wouldn't have as many questions to ask!
Oooh hello? Many letters TELL you to ring up if you've passed the tests are are to go straight through to interview. If that was targetted at me saying I'd pressed redial.:idea:0 -
Hi all,
Been reading these forums for a while. Some great advice on here unfotunately spoilt by some often flippant remarks!
Anyway, just thought I'd document my experiences with DWP so far.
Attended the test/interview day for EO position on 14/03/09. As I had previously passed my literacy/numeracy, I went straight to interview.
On 18/03/09, I received CRB form to complete and return.
On 20/03/09, received a letter to tell me I was successful at interview and would be offered a position on conditioon that my background checks came back ok. Great!
Recieved my CRB form back to me first week of April. I rang the number on the top of my letter to ask if this was correct. I was told 'yes' as the DWP had seen it.
I asked how the recruitment was progressing and was told that 'things were still being sorted and I'd here within a few weeks.
I rang up yesterday 16/04 to check again. Impatient, but I am going out of the country next week for a couple of weeks and was concerned that they might ring me whilst I was away. The lady on the phone told me that 'letters had been sent out on the 15th'. I thought this sounded positive- at least I'd know where I stood before I went away.
Got home from work yesterday to find a letter from the DWP, once again confirming my test scores. Had noticed that the position I had applied for had changed (Same IR ref of course).
Anyway, I'd like to know what's likely to happen now. I don't want to pester the DWP by continually ringing them, but it's hard as I am employed, am facing redundancy and have to negotiate a release from my contract and sign my redundancy agreement.
Anyway, there you are!
Thanks.0 -
I have had 4 interviews, am on waiting list for one, the second is pending crb/reference and still waiting for the other 2. So am hoping i will get a start date soon...0

I applied for an AO postion on the 22nd March.I passed the tests and had an interview all on the 28th March. On the 11th April I got some forms to fill in for background checks. Today I got the successful pending the results of those checks letter. Hopefully this will be as quick as the rest of the process has been for me. Then I will find out if I am on a waiting list or have a start date :beer:0

i received the success letter and crb form on 4th march and someone from the benefits office i have applied to rang me on thurs 26th to ask if i could give 1wks notice to my job which at the time i said i could'nt she said they would be back in touch (3wks ago) unfortunately still waiting! i know that there are 16 jobs and that 4 people started wk last monday so i think it can depend on how many people they can get together for training, how many people they can train in one go - for this job they told me max 8 people - and if they have trainers available lots of variables that keep everyone waiting!0 -
Gave my test & interview in Dec - Due to the christmas break results were sent out in mid-jan - Was on a waiting list & received pre-employment check letter & CRB forms in mid-Feb.....Have got my start date for 27th April....Fixed term appointment as AO -
Can anyone tell me how long are Fixed term appointments?0
