I received 'The Call' today, and West Yorkshire hadn't heard of the 'Freeze' when I asked them?!

Although my position might have been passed through line managers as it was through fault of one of the DWP employee's why I've been waiting so long (see my earlier posts) I kicked up a bit of a fuss and complained to the head of customer services. ??

I hope something 'Official' is released with regards to this freeze, and where exactly it is affecting, so pepole know where they stand!!!:mad::mad:

    Well done, DJ :T:T:T

You have given me a glimmer of hope:rotfl:

I'm sure you'l get offered a position from them, you sound like a woman on a mission and more determined than ever! :D
I'm betting that as soon as you get another job, the DWP will offer you a start date
  • really chuffed for you DJ:T.
I hope I'm wrong. Anyone else out there got 'the call'?
Last time I called Newcastle they told me I had nothing to do with them anymore as my details had been past on to the 'local recruiter' who would be confirming start date. This was before the big freeze of course. Anyone else had this?

they are still waiting for my checks to come through, but they are now going to look into the checks for the earlier IRC. who knows - they might get on with it at some point

Just a thought.... if you go down to your local JCP, they can tell you who your local recruiter is and if you catch someone on a good day they can contact them direct from the internal directory to ask if they have received your file, and maybe give you an eta on your start date?? I had an appointment at the JCP this morning for my work focused interview and thats what my case worker did for me.
