  • Well i am in the North West...i guessed maybe my area would not be 'held up' as the unemployment figures here are very high. Still waiting for 'the call' for the last god knows how many weeks!!! I am starting to wonder also if i actually will ever get this job they are threatening me with!!

I'm in Kirklees, but I would be happy to be posted in Morley.

I dont know what is going on, and i'm starting to feel angry as well as anxious now! Something is definately not right, I have been trying 3 different numbers all day - no answer to any of them.

Does anyone have an email address or contact number for the head of recruitment? I think it is disgusting how we are being treated and I have a query on this shambles that they call a 'recruitment process'

The thing I dont understand and really struggling to get my head around is that I scored higher than Counterfeit and Bulliebaby for this IRC yet they have been posted and its looking like I haven't got a job at the end of all this. What is the point in scoring people at interview and then placing them on a merit list, only for that to be discounted when it comes to actually posting people? I live approx 3 miles from Morley, I also drive so it would be a 10 minute journey so why didn't I receive a call when this position was available?
Surely the ones who scored higher should be posted first, and if their checks are not complete then it should be down to the recruitment team to chase this up, in order to get our file complete first, and passed onto the business centre?

No offence intended to those who have already got start dates for this IRC, but this is not a fair process what so ever, and if I dont get a position at the end of all this then there is going to be hell to pay... I'll go to the press, i'm sure Take a break will run my story :rotfl:

Exactly the same has happened to me. I scored high for my IRC apparently, but I have read of other people being placed on the IRC a lot lower down the list. Good luck to them, but I don't then understand the value of the merit list.

I hope someone has the head of recruitment or head of DWP contact details, as I will complain too. Maybe it will take lots of people actually properly complaining before they look at how they are treating people through this process.
  • I don't know if this helps but I have a number for the Recruitment team leader. Its 0191 2168258.

I am really annoyed now. There has been no response to my calls today, and now they are just disconnecting my calls when I am ringing:mad::mad:

Same here Jess, they're not disconnecting me, but theres no answer or its engaged. I've tried 4 different numbers now, which is worrying. Is today a bank holiday that I am unaware of?... :rotfl:

Anyway, think i'm going to give up for today, i've got a headache. Do you think its too early for a glass of wine? ;)

Definitely not too early. I would have one myself if I didnt have to drive later on:mad:

    I am sooooo mad.

They have had an e-mail off me now - just wait to see if they can be bothered to respond.

I wouldnt be so annoyed if they just answered the telephone and gave an explanation as to what was happening.

I say start on the wine, in fact I should probably do the same and try to calm myself down a bit. I'm getting really annoyed now too...this whole ringing out thing is totally unacceptable.
