DWP employment waiting list

I was worried I'd end up in Wallasey too so it's a big sigh of relief from me. Don't worry, I'll keep a chair warm for you. Hope to be seeing you in Upton soon.
Fingers crossed!! I really, really, really hope so..i only live 10 mins away (round Heswall way) so it would be very convenient for lil ol' pedestrian me! If i do end up in Upton (doubtful knowing my luck!!) than i may have to secretly call everyone 'Paulywoo' and see their reaction... just so i know who you are...and probably get more than a few strange looks, hahaha."You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
Hi,
I really hope somebody can help me!
I applied for an AO position in the Dorset area 14/06/09, completed the test 21/06/09 had an interview 07/07/09 and a congratulations you have been successful letter with no mention of a waiting list 28/07/09!
Here's the fun part- on the 18/08/09 had another letter with the same IRC number advising me I had me successful for EO which I DID NOT APPLY FOR and had been placed on a waiting list?! Typo or some big mess up?
Then last week had my cleared CRB check with a DWP compliments slip?! None of my referees have been contacted so i'm really confused now!
I worked for them as a Pensions processor previously so I know it can take some time...but think I'm going to write to them as it sounds as though they aren't much help on the phone! Anyone have any ideas what's going on?
Yea, ive heard about this happening before. I think it is just a mess up and eventually they will realise it, so maybe best to have a word like you said.
The girl i read about (on a thread here) got a success letter even though she didn't turn up to the interview!!!! She thought about not telling them and seeing how far she got but eventually phoned up and asked them about it and got told it was an admin error and it would have got realised eventually. If they don't answer the phone than it is probably best to write an email so they have proof that you notified them in case they think you have just left it.
Congrats on the AO position anyway!!! Looks like your checks are being done so hopefully you will hear back about the AO one soon"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -

I was told that they don't put you in a location that is so close to you as there have been cases where Jobcentre staff have been identified and approached by customers whilst on their Saturday shopping trip at Tesco lol. Seriously, I wouldn't want to work someone that is so close to me, even though it means less travelling time and minimal travelling costs, then again I guess it depends on the area and the customers in that area.....0 -

I was made aware of this too actually. When i applied i chose my 1 local offices only due to the fact that i dont drive and my childcare is close to it too (both 1mile away from where i live) and i was advised to choose more offices as its not often you get placed in your local office for some reason. I suppose it makes sense if you may end up knowing a lot of people who use that office, family/friends etc, i dont know! I was again told last week when i phoned to enquire about my place on the merit list, that it would most definately be the office that is 7 miles away that i would be placed in...but i can live with that!0 -

OK, that sucks. Really want my local office, as it comes with a higher base salary. Between myself and my partner it adds up to a lot of money we'd be missing out on if we don't get posted there. Over the year, it'd add up to 6-7 grand due to lower salary + travel costs to a more distant office.

Heared from Newcastle and I have been passed to business and they have started making calls, so should be soon!
Only trouble is I started a temp job 2 weeks ago, so they will not be happy.
Rang Newcastle and told them about temp job, should I start if I would be getting call soon? They just said call back in 3 weeks for an update.
Oh oh, will be looking at my mob at break time.0 -
60227
Is anyone else still waiting for this one. I had my success letter dated 29/06 and since then disasters.
Newcastle have lost 2 CRB forms and my references have been caught up in the postal strike!
Anyone started yet?0 -

Hi all
Wondering if anyone had heard anything for the IRC60076 Birmingham interviews, since the last time i posted!
Had an encouraging week last week! ..... had my CRB check back, received a form concerning my self employment, which was completed and returned, my two references were contacted and both repiled immediately and also had my pre employment health check telephone call......
But still no phone call...... has anyone who were on the Birmingham 60076 interviews 22/23 June, had a start date yet.0
