DWP employment waiting list

hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and i need to knw if anyone has any info regarding irc60529 (west yorkshire). I rang newcastle 2day and I was told my checks have cleared and my application has been passed to the business and have been assured i would be getting a post soon. I would love to know how long this takes to get the 'call'

I applied under a different IRC to the one you're waiting for. My file was passed over on 14 August 2009 but they only starting placing people off the merit list this week. I received "the call" yesterday and will be starting in mid October.

From other posts I've read on here, some people have been contacted quite quickly and other have had a long wait (and some are still waiting!). The length of time between your details being passed to the Business Area and getting "the call" seems to vary from location to location.

Good luck ... hope it's not too long to wait.

I completed the online test mid May and then went for my interview on the 1st of June, then i was told i had been successfull about two weeks later and informed that i was on a twelve month waiting list and would be contacted as soon as my references had been checked and my crb check completed. I received a 'Disclosure Scotland' last friday, i was phoned today offering me my post which i am very happy as i got where i wanted to work, all i will say is just hang in there i know people that work where i have been posted to and have all told me the dwp are very slow, but will get in touch asap

From reading posts on here it looks like once you have been passed it the business its only a few or two before you get `the call`

Do you know what No you are on the merit lisit? i too was sucessful for this IRC, but am quite high on the list.

Well i was upstairs and mobile was downstairs, phone rung, dashed downstairs, with held number, answered it in a frenzy (as no1 i know calls from with held number except DWP) it was bloomin tele marketing company, im gona be a nervous wreck by the time the call comes :rotfl::rotfl: please DWP if ur reading this have mercy on our poor nerves :rotfl:

For anyone that might be interested I just got my Disclosure Scotland Certificate dated 31/08/09, today (sent from DWP). I received a success letter (no waiting list) for 61298 on the 27/08/09. The interview was on the 10/08/09. I hope things speed up for me.

On a side note, I had an AO interview IRC 61488 for Watford/Luton on the 12/08/09 and haven't heard anything as to the outcome of the interview even though it's nearly been a month since interview. There is no consistiency as to the time frames between districts. I don't think it really matters as 61298 is better suited for me anyway, but it would build self-esteem if it turns out I was successful for this as well. Oh well...

I got an email back from newcastle saying am 83rd on the list, then rang them up later to know how many ppl they are looking to employ. I was told there are 150 posts available at the moment and the business area are waiting for all checks to come thru b4 i get the "call".:eek: I hate waiting but I just have to keep my trust in God. What num are u on the list if I may ask?

I also applied for 61099 (EO) and attended an assessment centre at The Gateway in Warrington on the 2nd of August. I passed the tests and had an interview the same day.

I got a letter saying that I'd been successful on the 8th of August, and my Disclosure Scotland letter was forwarded on by the DWP about 10 days later.

I got 'the call' yesterday afternoon, and was offered a job starting next Monday (the 14th). I've got to do a 3 week training course at Toxteth JC+, then I'll be working at my local JC+, so I'm really pleased as my local JC+ was my first choice. :j

Thanks for the update, it's good to know someone on the list has had "the call", means it's just a matter of time for the rest of us!! I seected quite a few JCs but am hoping for one on the wirral, so it may just take longer for them to allocate us over this side of the water. Hope you enjoy your training, and good luck in the job

hey that sounds like good news!!
i too am waiting for call re irc60535, my current employer sent them my reference back yesterday so all being well i should seen get a date.
