I took the tests and interview at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on 20 August, got a letter on 27 August saying I had been sucessfull and they were doing background and reference checks and they will contact me to advise whether or not they could offer me a position. How long do you think this could take? I also was not asked about when JC I would want to work in either?

I wasn't asked and got posted to one fairly nearby so I wouldn't worry - they do try to make sure you don't have to travel too far.

I wouldn't worry about the checks - I reckon it might be another 1-4 weeks before you get your offer. They are trying to speed things up now - but they are clearing the backlog first.

I think a lot of people seem to be waiting for "the call" for various locations around the country (my self included) as this thread seems a bit quieter than normal.

Sooner or later though, there will be an explosion of posts saying "finally got a start date", I'm hoping sooner as the waiting is killing me lol

Urgh i hope i don't get 'the call' and they say...yes, you're starting in two days time....good luck!!! I need time to prepare and meditate and build myself up to it now....all this waiting has got me so nervous!!! The longer i wait, the more time i have to think of what could possibly go wrong!! Then again i will be grateful for ANY start date...as long as i get one
