Has anyone `got the call` for this yet?
Seems such a long time since my interview 7th july, got sucess letter mid August.
Thanks
Ooooooooooooooppppps - I forgot to mention this earlier but I was 19 on the merit list for that and when I got my EO placement I told the lady that I needed to be removed from the list. She said the placements wouldn't start until all the EOs had been placed. I assume that is to whittle the AO list down for people like me who were on both lists and to allow the EOs to be in post before they allocate the AOs.
I start as an EO on Oct 19 and get 4 (yes that's right FOUR) days training in Huddersfield, so I guess the earliest an AO would be placed would be the week after, i.e. 26th October.0 -

I will be starting there on 19th October. I only have 1 day there before spending the rest of the week in Huddersfield so I won't be able to give you much idea of what it's like. Opening hours are 9-5 Mon-Fri (I have already checked).
Sorry I forgot to mention that Hunslet have been granted permission by the government to extend their building which is probably good news for us on a fixed term contract.0 -

Good luck, let me know when you hear!0 -
Hey Venus, no the main training centre for Wirral and North Wales is Birkenhead so don't worry. I got the call for 61139 2 weeks ago, but for Liverpool. I'm guessing Wirral side are just talking a little longer.
Good luck, let me know when you hear!
Hi Jimisugly,
I started my training at Toxteth today, and of the 11 in my group, 4 have been posted to Wirral JC+'s (3 to Birkenhead and 1 to Wallasey).
I also assumed that everyone on the course would be from the 61099 recruitment, but it turns out that only 3 of us are going to be EO's (and one of those is from a May recruitment campaign, not 61099) - the rest are going to be AO's. Seems the training will be pretty much the same for both positions, but the AO's have to go to the Birkenhead JC+ for a day's training in week 3.
From what the trainer was saying today, they're really desperate to get people started in the JC's asap, so I think it's just a case of scheduling in training where/whenever they can.
Hope you hear soon, and still keeping my fingers crossed for you :T0 -
I hope i hear soon. I had my interview on the 31st of July and my letter on the 11th of August so i havent been waiting long compared to most. I am waiting for an AO post so don't know if that will make the waiting faster/slower?
Jim...are you going to be an AO or an EO? I ticked to work in the Liverpool city centre JC but else where in liverpool would take too long to get to.
I hope the training is in Birkenhead...that is just one bus ride...Toxteth would take a while to get to!!! Unless i would get a bus to Liverpool and then one to Toxteth.
Stephl- do you mind me asking what is the training like? Are you enjoying it?
Fingers crossed i hear soon anyway! I will let you all know don't you worry...i will be shouting it from the roof tops when i get the date!!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0
