So, today is another day with no start date ...

for some reason I have received another Disclosure Sctoland certificate today. That's three now. It must be costing the DWP a mint!

I know what you mean, I'm getting all sorts through the post couple of CRB checks, couple of test results. Just keep wondering what will come through next!!!

Hang in there the more you have the more proof you have you're right for the job :j

Regarding the waiting list (sorry if this has been answered I havent read the whole thread) I used to work for the DWP, the first year I applied I was put on a waiting list and then after 6 months I didnt get the job. I applied the following year and got the job but the app process is very long. As far as I am aware you are only put on the list if you are a reserve all the people they want get placed straight away.
Good luck to the people who applied, I worked there for 4.5 years and thought it was awful.

Hi Loubie_lou i was just wondering how long it took you to get your start date from when your details were passed to business services? and did you get a call or letter!?

From start to finish from tests to start date was 5 months. I got a call from the lady at the contact centre i work at.
    In debt no more!

    d

    applied in Jan
    test-march
    interview-march
    may-succesful letter on waiting list
    June- pre-recruitment checks
Since start of June till end of July took to do CRB checks..
July - CRB complete. Once completed file passed on to recruitment team
Then recieved a call for start date...

one of the worst customer service i have EVER come acroos in my life. The managment in the recruitment team are very disorganised...unhelpful...etc..they just love passing the buck from 1 person to another
