  • So, today is another day with no start date ...

for some reason I have received another Disclosure Sctoland certificate today. That's three now. It must be costing the DWP a mint!

    Hey,

I have completed the tests (numeracy & literacy) which I passed fine, I then attended the assessment day (interview) and had a letter last Friday to say I had been successful and they were carrying out some last minute pre-recruitment checks (references etc).

    A) How long should this take? How will they let me know the final outcome, via telephone or post?

    B) I have a New Deal interview on this Thursday with a view to put me on a 2 week course the following week, will that still be necessary now?

    Many Thanks :)

Well, if you read the forum you would see that most people can wait for many, many months before hearing a peep!! No one knows how long it will take for any individual. I would go for that interview if i were you, just incase. You could be waiting aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages!

You should get a call that is arranging a start date. You may also get your checks sent back to you. It's not uncommon to wait a couple of months before anything happens.

I have a question for anyone currently working in the Newport Benefit Delivery Centre/s.

Just wondering what car parking is like, is it free? Is there staff parking? Is there enough spaces for all people? should I get there before a specific time of the day to be sure to get a space?.

I'm waiting on pre-recruitment checks and don't know yet which exact office I will be in but it said on the success letter "Newport BDC". If anyone has an address for the office, this would be great also.

    Thanks. :)
