This morning we got our copies of the Disclosure Scotland forms through. Brilliant news!
Just one thing to note - they are dated 23 July. Our successful letters were dated 10 August. It suggests to me that they knew we had passed long before the letters got sent out.
Anyway, final stage beofre start date should be references I hope. Could soon be there.0 -
I know exactly what you mean what was your IRC number. I applied in April I have been told in the next couple of weeks0

Hi Venus.....is it true that your interview is scored immediately at the interview session? thanks for ur response0 -
Congratulations!
Did you have to do a telephone exercise for your interview at holbourn house or something? got a successful letter, rang up and they said they were still dping the referencing!!
Thanks for your help.0 -
when i eventually started my contract dates were 3rd August to 10th December 2009, (From Newcastle)so not even 18 months. (Same for all on my Training)
I have queried this and the response came back that the advertisements were for up to 18 months.
Very disappointed and feel misled, especially as the appointment letter I got from my area specifically said 18 months from 3rd August.
They are teaching us Customer Care and service, pity they dont pracise this at the highest level0 -
My son was told he is on the waiting list over a week ago by email, after being informed he was successful on those online tests, think it's called SIFT test, would they actually let my son know where he is on the list if he emailed them back? (like what number)?
Cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Sorry if this is in the wrong place first of all.
I applied for a job with the DWP back in April? (I think) I was invited to do the tests which I passed and had an interview the same day.
Anyway, I received a CRB certificate in the post followed by a rejection letter so left it at that and didn't think about it again.
Today I have received an email from someone at (I assume) the DWP saying they need a copy of the certificate.
Why would they need this if I wasn't offered a position? Has anyone else been asked for this?Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

There seems to be a general feeling that if you are put on a waiting list then it definitely means that other people have been offered a job first and the rest put on a list. I dont think that is the case with all the posts.
I also was put on a waiting list, but another person who applied for the same post enquired and was told everyone who was successful at the interview had been put on a list till everyones checks were complete.
As it turned out, at first they couldnt tell me which position I was on the list due to 'not all results have been processed'. 10 days later I enquired again and was told i was 58th in the list, a few days after that I got the call. So all in all I had a start offer about 2 months since the online test.
I think its always a good idea and call up to find out what position you are in the list and if they have already taken on people for the post.
Good luck to all those that are still waiting..
On another note, was anyone told what to bring with them to their first day?0 -

Seems very odd as as far as I am aware, they only send of for the CRB check once you have passed the interview stage. Your best bet would be to give them a ring - you never know they may have sent you out the wrong letter, and you should have received a 'successful'.0 -

Funny you say that as I was just talking to a friend and they said the same thing.
I did receive a letter saying I was unsuccessful, then a few days later recieved another letter saying to disregard the first letter and I had been unsuccessful. I didn't think to query it at the time as thought they were dealing with a lot of people so it was probably just an admin error.
I'm not sure now whether to take the letter to the job centre when i'm next due there, or to scan and send as requested and query why they are asking for a copy now.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
