DWP employment waiting list

Hi. I was very interested to read of yor problem in regard to your interview marks not being on the computer. I had a similar problem myself, when I attended a CAPITA interview back in May this year at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool for AO. Waited and waited, eventually rang up - only to be told that there were no marks recorded for my interview! There followed weeks more stress of ringing both DWP AND CAPITA, but still my marks hadn't turned up.
In the end, I had to make an official complaint to a senior manager, who investigated and told me that CAPITA had "NO RECORD OF MY ATTENDING THE INTERVIEW!" As you can imagine, I was both shocked and disgusted to be told this, especially after spending ALL afternoon waiting around until I was interviewed!
As compensation for this debacle with CAPITA, the senior manager arranged a second interview for me at the Foresight Centre in Liverpool. That was FOUR WEEKS ago, and I still haven't heard anything. The stress of waiting and wondering has had me literally tearing my hair out! NOBODY should have to be messed around like this when looking for a job!
Do you know of any other applicants, besides us two, who have suffered similar problems relating to unmarked interview papers etc?jacksonstjohn wrote: »HI
I have telephoned four times and yesterday discovered my scores are not on the computer. One of the girls resp. for the exercise said she'd check with the business and call me back. Needless to say...heard nothing. In addition I was invited for interview for the AO post at the Foresight Centre on 17th May. I called the local dwp, the day of my EO interview, and they said there's no need to be interviewed for both you'll be scored for both EO and AO this afternoon! So have written twice to Newcastle to ask for confirmation. Once by recorded delivery and then by special delivery. Guess what? No reply. So I emailed...no reply. Tomorrow I have an interview for a temporary 13 week AO job on the Wirral. I'm cross because I have to go through all this twoddle again. I really despair!0 -
HI....Yes I had interview 23rd July at foresight centre liverpool for EO at 9.15am. Everything went smooth for me though, passed tests, filled out forms and straight into interview out by 11.20. 2 weeks 2 days later received both test certificate and success letter. Have also been on phone and found out 80th (YIKES!) on merit list for post (but this is for whole of merseyside form warrington through liverpool up to chester-so not too worried) and they are have conducted some of the checks but still doing...started checks on 21 July...so they rea beginning checks before know whether people succesful or not.
My friend also applied but only received initially test cert latter, few days later recived unsuccessful letter.
Post number was IRC61099. Ring 01912168256, they seem be answering quickly today.
Good luck.
On a different note....has anyone had an e-mail inviting for online test for national HEO posts, number IRC 0041 as they said today be notifying via e-mail!!

Hi Cookie
Thank you for giving me the reference no. for the EO interviews at Foresight Centre on 23rd July 2009 and for the tel. no. I rang immediately and was told that the result letters were being sent out today, so I should get it in the morning. Fingers crossed!
After my unfortunate "Interview That Never Was" experience at the Capita assessment in May at Holiday Inn, Liverpool (see my post on this), I certainly think I deserve SOME good luck.
Glad you got good news. Best of luck with your new job.
Thanks again.

Trixxi.
If the DS cert was sent from DWP then if I'm anything to go by you'll be getting the call to start within 2 weeks. I start 1 month after I received the call, approximately.
Good luck and well done.
Thanks for the reply!!! and wishing you good luck wth your job!!
I havent worked since last july and am desperate to get back to work, so fingers crossed!!0 -
I'm in Newport so put the 2 Newport ones first, then Cwmbran, Caldicott & Chepstow. They're all easier to get to for me.
Could be another week or 2 before we hear anything else then.
Just rang the number on the letter I had and they haven't even received the merit list from Manpower yet.
They are starting to panic themselves as they want people to start within a couple of weeks. I mentioned some people may have issues with notice for current employers so she said they understand that and it wouldn't effect those that have to give say 4 weeks notice.
It also appears that the majority of the vacancies are for the Newport BDC site with only a couple available in the other areas. I think she said there was only 2 or 3 in the Newport JCP for instance.
She said those succesful should hear within the week though.0 -
Hey guys, I have done my interview and tests for admin officer, location was across black country region. anyone else applied here? And does anyone know that contact number to chase the application? the interviewer told me after my interview that i was really strong in the interview, so fingers crossed I might have been successful, but they left me with no details to follow up? crb check and everything has been done..just waiting around?
To all those who are doing the interview, the people who conduct it are very polite and make you feel at ease, so don't be afraid..0 -

Hey, do you mean that you have had your crb check done before you got your success letter? I don't understand?
I have recently been successful for an AO post and am waiting for my crb check to be done so i can get given a start date.
You sound like you have done well anyway!!

So... after my appalling interview last week, I've had a phone call about an AA position I applied for.
Now, since I have already passed the tests to EO level, all I need to do is drop off the letter, photo and passport to arrange an interview the following week.
Do you guys think it would be ok for me to turn up in my casual clothes or do I need to get my smart clothes on again?
Oh and does anyone have any idea the types of Q's I'll get for this one? My EO Q's were shockingly hard (ie... give me an example of when you introduced best practice into an organisation  or something along those lines...)0 -

I dunno about dressing up, maybe smart casual. When i went to my interview there was a woman in jeans, a check shirt and tan timberland boots!!! She looked like a lumberjack who had just happened to wander in! There was a few girls in jeans and heels also. The men all had either suits on or shirts and pants. I should imagine they go on the person more than the outfit as long as you are a excellent candidate!
