One guy came in drunk early this morning to sign on and kicked off, so they had to call the police to remove him from the building!

poor guy, can you blame him really? if i knew i had to wait this long from applying to start date i'd probably be really !!!!ed off as well!

i interviewed 3rd July got my success letter dated 8th July, have just called to know whats going on and have been told more are being interviewed and nothing can happen untill then so he's HOPING about 3 weeks. from what i've read so far on the forum i could be waiting for ages! this is not good, i'm torn between waiting for the results or starting on some crappy telemarketing gig that seems to be the only job that's readily available these days.

will hang in there for another 3 weeks...after that i'll take any job that comes my way no matter how crappy it may be :( .

Just wondering. I am going for an interview for another AO job tomorrow. At the same time, I have been successful in another exercise and am awaiting pre-recruitment checks. If I pass tomorrow, will they start fresh checks for that one or will they simply use the checks of the previous exercise?

Could this then mean a quick response for the new role????

Confused and about to tear my hair out!
I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A

i've had no real indication of what I'll be doing other than the standard EO job spec; managing other AOs and AAs. From other people I've spoken to I don't think I will be customer facing, more looking into claims, chasing up medical records etc as I am in the disability side of things

I'd imagine an EO based in a job centre would be more customer facing?

This is all speculation however I could be very wrong, I suppose we'll wait and see on Monday! I am going to be based in Liverpool by the way.

I'm just praying DBC's aren't following suit with their working hours as I really would like to avoid working Saturdays!
  • Does anyone know or is anyone waiting to hear about the AO positions in Plymouth IRC58718? Interview was back in April and I know that the CRBs are done, I have been given a HR number to ring but that are about as much use as a chocolate teapot! PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm fairly sure they do the checks separately. Although it would obviously save them money if they only have to pay for one CRB check. I have had my checks done for one position, but not heard anything about another one I had a successful letter for. Having said that, one was Walsall and the other was Birmingham/ Solihull.

I had an interview at the JCP for the AO position on 23rd July, i then had a phone call from them on the 29th July to say congratulations, you have been successful for the EO vacancy with the DWP! I didnt apply for this job but they thought i would be suitable for it. Anyway, i dont have a clue what the job entails or what the hours are, i assumed it was Mon-Fri 9-5 like the AO position, is this not the case??? Just waiting for the checks to be done and have a start date for end of August.
For heading SWP please read DWP, rubbish typist haha.

haha what are the overtime rates for an EO out of interest?

I would consider it as well but my sporting season starts at the begining of October with matches on a Saturday so I'd prefer to play than not!

They do fresh checks for every exercise.
