DWP employment waiting list

Hi there, this is indeed puzzling, but one thought is, perhaps, they need more people. when did you apply? I have applied for EO (IRC60227) London in May; is your IRC No. 60227 and in which area is your interview held? many thanks, this is just to determine whether indeed this is the same position you are going for!
Interview was at Liverpool St with Manpower, pretty decent people there who made the process that much more easier.
I'm definitely sure it's the same one, I looked in my outbox and I see that I sent an application form on the 21st of May 2009 to DWP.
I applied for EO positions in City and East and Central London but then again so did everyone else in the interview group.

hi thanks for your reply, I , too was interviewed by Manpower (in Liverpool St) for East london district and north east london (according to one interviewer) but in June. Are you any wiser after the interview as to why they are still interviewing and when they anticipate start dates. Were you invited to sit the DWP online assessmnent prior to the interview? sorry for the Qs, many thanks
No problem, glad to help. I know as much as you do with regards to the interviewing process I'm afraid. I did do an online assessment, I didn't take it seriously at the time and I had my nephew to babysit but I passed it somehow.
Good luck anyways and I hope we both land the jobs we're after. If not, life goes on.0 -
I'm a little confused. Can anyone tell what the contract (term period) was for IRC60227? Was it 18 or 12mths? Thanks0

hi rugeyes
it is for 12 months0 -
So, today I did the online assessment for an AO post in Leeds, having been told by my DWP liason that it is necessary as it is different and scored differently to the EO assessment/test I did 4 weeks ago.
Ooh - guess what - exactly the same 36 questions. I kept the original answers and as I passed the EO test I had better pass this one or something is seriously wrong with this recruitment process.0 -
Has anyone applied for IRC 58272 ( southwark, lambeth area) and gotten their start dates yet? I received my success letter subject to pre-recruitment checks on 8 June and still awaiting for CRB checks to be done.0

yes - I did it and passed for an EO post that I had an interview for. Every other post I have had to do an online competency assessment at the time of applying. It is just these 2 posts that have been different.0 -
This might be relevant to LandslideVictory....
I turtled off to the blob centre plus this morning to sign off and got talking to a lady - the manager in fact - about what I would be likely to be doing (I'll be working in the same one). She said it would be working upstairs as an advisor and dealing with new claims; I'm quite looking forwards to it
I'm a bit nonplussed as to how this happened; I only signed on in the first place so I could get two crowns fixed on the NHS - I didn't expect to end up working there:D:D
Hi Orb
Me too. Only I had a lesser objective than you. I only wanted a free prescription and ended up with a job with them instead.0
