Start 27th July at my local office with initial training done there.
It looks like IRC57875 has finally taken off!! Orb got the call a week or so ago with myself, jimdfish and cadellin getting THE CALL this week - so anyone out there on IRC57875 who still hasn't had one it's on it's way. We have all been successful 'waiting list' - and have all been waiting since w/c 23/3/09.
THE WAIT OVER FOR US .
To everyone else out there still waiting especially Chi Chi keep the faith that the call will come soon.

Yay!!!:beer: to all of you who've had the magic phone call.
I've been working 16 hour days lately so I will wait until I'm not insane with lack of sleep to read the thread properly, but seems like things are really moving for lots of people now. :T:T:idea:0 -

I informed my manager of the situation early doors and all my managers & colleagues have been supportive. It has meant that they're not going to spend out too much on my training until they know whether I have been successful or not.
Yeah, but what Julietormsby said. If it's not within DWP it's effectively like applying for a separate job. There is no easy transition. Each Department is an independent entity.:idea:0 -
Anymore heard from 58407 I am still waiting but I know they have started the calls just wondering what number they are up to.0

Hi everyone,
I've been reading this thread since about page 42 and have finally decided to register.
I am wondering if anyone has heard anything from IRC58777 or IRC 58379 in the Birmingham area? I saw not long ago people mentioning Selly Oak, Olbury etc but I am not sure if they are the same IRC number.
Application closed in March, tests in April, interviews in May, success letters in June (no waiting list) and now nothing. I have been in contact via email with the people who sent my success letters but they haven't been able to provide too much information. I am a little sick of waiting. I have been told that for the EO (58379) position I am number 46 but I don't know out of how many or how many people they are looking for.
So if anyone else is waiting on the same IRC numbers, I'd be glad to hear it!
Good luck everyone.0 -

How long were you waiting for "the call"?
Thanks
I think I got my success letter early June and this was followed by a phone call a week later telling me which office I would be working at and that they hoped for a mid-July start date. I contacted them last Monday to ask about progress and they said my checks were clear. Got the call today. :T0 -

I withdrew from 58777 after getting letters about Coventry, Wolverhampton and 58379. I've taken the EO position in Cov and Wolverhampton are in the process of allocating vacancies, I turned mine down this week.
When I accepted Coventry, they contacted Birmingham on my behalf to find out the position for me and they are not expecting 58379 to be allocated until September as they are still working through allocations for an earlier exercise.
This would seem about right going by the timelines on other areas. I had my interview for Cov 18/04, the Bham interview didn't take place until nearly 5 weeks afterwards on 20/05.0 -
