    Hello All,

Thanks for this site......that's all I can say!

Is anyone waiting for IRC58399 Cheshire, Halton and Warrington? I had my interview on April 18th, waiting list letter dated 28th April, CRB certificate sent to the Muppets.....I mean super-efficient staff in Newcastle a week ago. I was just wondering how long it may take now.

I called and asked one person about 6 weeks ago and she told me what number I was on the list. I then called two weeks ago and was told " we dont tell you what number you are on the list"! Gosh. :-(

Well done to all those who have their start dates. I am happy for you but very envious!

I'm not waiting for that area but just wanted to say good luck with it all. It can be so hard when they are not consistant with the information they give out. I guess it is a battle of wills... if you can push and persist enough, you often get better results.

    good luck :)

I was on the same recruitment drive as you IRC57875. You are the first one to be offered a position. I know of 2 other posters jimdfish and RobY that are also on it but I don't think they've been offered either.
Do you know what position you were on the merit list and did you get a successful waiting list letter?

LV, I got my waiting list letter on the 20th April - same as you I think (IRC57875). I rang DS and they told me that they received my check request (to be returned to Lauren McCluskey) on the 20th May which was sent back to DWP 27th May - this is borne out by the fact that the DWP sent the form on to me and it got here this morning - dated 26th May.

According to the lady that spoke to me I was initially in the 3rd or 4th induction (I forget which now) but at the top of said list for a 24th August start. However she had a place to fill in the 30th June start, which I couldn't manage. However I was then called with a place in the next induction (27/7) to work at my local JS. She did say that she had a lot of people to get through and from what she said (can't remember her exact words) I got the impression that she needed more than she had available.

I have no idea where I was in the merit list; I tried asking Newcastle but the person there said that it wasn't possible to tell me, so I didn't press the point.

Lauren Mcluskey has been replaced by a chap by the name of Steve McGregor.
He was able to tell me that I have slipped down the list by seven places(???) and that the only option yet again is to sit and wait. It could, according to SM be ten minutes or ten weeks!! I asked if there is actually a job available as Iwas starting to doubt this he said yes,as far as he is aware IRC57875 is still valid and they are looking for training space. My checks are complete and this was validated by recieving my CRB through the post from Newcastle today with a return slip fron the DWP. I wish I could be of more help but the contact at the DWP does not have the answers to the big questions such as, when do I start? The JCP where I sign on are aware of the issue as many internal applicants are also waiting but they too have been kept mushroom like.

It seems IRC57875 DS certs have been arriving at home address from DWP today, as mine has. Just keep waiting. I was in the 1045am session at City's stadium on 23rd March. Can't wait much longer though.
  • I'm just filling in my CRB form and the DWP letter asks that I request that the disclosure is sent directly to them. I can't see a bit on the form where I request this? Am I thick??

    hi mixed
i think you are correct on this, i remember having to re-fill in my disclosure at my interview and putting the newcastle address as my home address so it went straight to them.
