hi mixed emotions i too applied in the west london district but i had my interview on 22 jun, sucess letter 26 jun, in your case you had a big time lag between test/interview and success letter then after that it all went pretty quick. i am hoping that the DWP have since maybe got their act together and have streamlined the process. one can hope eh.0

Hi Landslide.
I was on the 1045 test/interview 23Mar09 for EO. I seem to be in exactly same position as you. Today I received a copy of my DS from DWP "for my records." Getting very desperate as it seems others, like Orb are being placed now.
Hi Cadellin
Welcome to the forum and the IRC57875 waiting game. That makes 5 of us on here and only Orb has had a start date. But maybe things have started to move at last.
jimdfish is low teens on the merit list and is on the case to get answers for his start date. Hopefully he will post soon with an update.0 -

Congrats to anyone who's had the call by the way.
How do you know where you are on the Merit list?!
DWP have emailed, called to urgently chase up things. They now say everything's cleared. I'll post a timeline of events in a bit. I know I'll be working with some very patient people when (or should that be if?) I start!0 -
Training Update.
Today ( my 3rd day) we finally managed to get onto RM system, this enabled me to register my working hours, banking details next of kin etc.
Also, finally told them about my Manc EO position - Uh Oh! They have now taken me off induction, I'm in SIFT team sorting things alphabetically (what things I dunno) for the rest of the week and they don't know what's happening next week.
Am a little worried because they gave me the impression that theres no promise of dropping back down to AO after 18 months.... Am going to call woman at Manc tomorrow to get this in writing.
Apart from that today was chats from union rep, H&S rep and going through dress standards, behaviour etc.
I'll be sad to leave Bolton, am truly, truly loving it.... But the money is just too much to lose at Manc.

Hi Kath
Just a very quick response. Have a look on the PCS Union website. There is an article on it about just this i.e. permanent AOs taking fixed term EO contracts and what happens if the fixed term EO position comes to an end. I think you will find that you can return to AO but please have a read.0 -
I just had a call to start me on an AO post. Not sure which of the two (central London, or Lambeth Southwark and Wandsworth) it was, but for people waiting on them, calls are coming.
Obviously I had to turn it down in light of my EO post. But it seems one things move, they move all round.:idea:0 -
Hi all
I am in awe (after reading some (or all) of the threads here) to realise that there are still good people out there who are ever so helpful to give advice... for the benefit of others esp. in times of stress and uncertainty. Very helpful indeed.
Mixed_Emotions, can I ask you: did you discuss the hours at all when you received the call, or is this to be arranged on the day you start.
May I ask Tarmis, did you select West District or were you designated to this district based on the area you live.
many thanks

Hello All,
Thanks for this site......that's all I can say!
Is anyone waiting for IRC58399 Cheshire, Halton and Warrington? I had my interview on April 18th, waiting list letter dated 28th April, CRB certificate sent to the Muppets.....I mean super-efficient staff in Newcastle a week ago. I was just wondering how long it may take now.
I called and asked one person about 6 weeks ago and she told me what number I was on the list. I then called two weeks ago and was told " we dont tell you what number you are on the list"! Gosh. :-(
Well done to all those who have their start dates. I am happy for you but very envious!0
