DWP employment waiting list

One of the things I did yesterday was, I got given a number of the vacancy co-ordinator which wasn't being answered, so I looked at the phone code, put it in google to find out the general area then rang the switchboard of the nearest JCP. Someone there emailed her with my message and number and gave me a different number for her. I waited a couple of hours to give her time to contact me then rang her. She was apologetic for forgetting to bell me and immediately put everything into action. It was a few hours later that I got 'the call' from the jobs manager, although I had also taken her number as a precaution.
I think I got throught to some very competent and helpful people yesterday but it really is the luck of the draw, by the sound of it.
Another tip I think is useful when dealing with Newcastle is to ring as early as possible, before they've had a chance to become frazzled
Nevermind working for the DWP, I think we should all be detectives!!
It's crazy the amount of work we have to put into just getting the job!0 -

Hi thunderb0lt
Writing again would take to long especially if you have more interviews coming up soon.
I would email the person on the letter - I think most emails are
firstname.surname@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK
Tell them you have further interviews and would appreciate feedback as to why you failed the interview. Then ring up the following day to check the email has been received. Don't forget to quote your IRC no.
Hope this helps.
ANYONE ANY OTHER ADVICE FOR thunderb0lt.0 -
Hi All
Right ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I have been trying to get to thge bottom of what is going on in Newcastle and basically they do not seem to know. An yway wearing my former Civil Service HEO Grade hat I have demanded to beput through to the higher grades. Apparently the HEO is Clare Halshall 0191 216 8179 and her boss a SEO is George Green 0191 216 2024. I intend ringing George tomorrow morning and demanding answers. They have both left for the day!!!!!!!!0 -
I have managed to find out that the end is nigh for 58407 and that applicants will be contacted over the next few weeks0

Hi All
An update. Just been having a telephone call with the Regional HR Manager for the East of England. I explained all she has taken my phone number and e-mail address, told me she has meetings in Ipswich tomorrow but has promised to make enquiries of Newcastle and report back. I think a bottle of wine tonight.
My advice is go for it.
Stop press - Reuters reports at 16.00 Regional HR Manager rang me.0 -
