Tell you what though TL, it's worth chasing them. They had me down as having withdrawn interest in the job. How????????????? I have rung Newcastle regularly for the last 3 million years.
Anyway, all's well that ends well. And I've just had my confirming email so it's all real! Not a dream, not a mirage, not an illusion. Actually REAL!!:idea:0 -

Got me start date
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you to finally be given your start date after all you've been through with this recruitment process. It must feel great to know the wait is over. What JCP will you be working at? Also thanks for the PM and once again CONGRATULATIONS :j0 -

You really should. Don't leave it to them. You've nowt to lose and everything to gain, as I have just found out.
I have to thank Apolonation for his/her help with what to do.:idea:0 -
Good grief I've done some ringing around today. First I rang the checking team at Newcastle to find out the date my papers were sent across. Then I spoke to the vacancy co-ordinator at the local team, who spoke to the vacancy manager, who has just rang me now. I start early August, I got my first choice of JCP and just WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!:beer: I'm cracking a nice bottle of something open later!!! In fact, I may just do so now!!
One very weird thing was that they had me down as withdrawing from the job. Probably why they never got in touch then. I haven't a clue how they came to that conclusion, but it is definitely worth chasing and chasing. Don't just wait.
Finally - its worth the wait eh! Congratssssss and hope you enjoy your new job!0 -

Get going on that phone, girl. Go hardcore.
I've got the JCP I wanted. Quite nearby my flat. I won't go into too much detail here though. But I can walk there quite easily, which is always a bonus in avoiding the hell that is the tube of a rush hour.:idea:0
