Any HEOs-to-be been given a firm start date yet?

Yes, 10th August for HEO position in Erdington, Birmingham. You should get your call soon, as I remember you received your success letter etc at roughly the same time as me. They are running behind as usual (although not as slowly as a lot of other areas) I was originally given a provisional start date of mid July.

    Hi hurryupDWP

Very apt name for this thread :D. I'm not waiting for South Wales but I am still waiting for 'the call' like you.
Did you ask for your position on the merit list? Even though you have been informed successful (no waiting list) I believe there is still a merit list where the ones at the top get placed sooner than those lower down.

No, i have not asked about my position on the merit list as i was not aware of such a list, i will ask though when i finally get through to someone... i have just phoned a number of someone in the checking team given to me by lili2008 and after it ringing a good few times the person on the other end picked up and put the phone straight back down! cut me off!!!! thanks dwp

when did you get your successful letter if you don't mind me asking

Hello, I'm new. Does anyone know how to get feedback on failed DWP interviews? I've had three....
Either write or email Newcastle, I phoned once and they wouldn't tell me over the phone.

    Hi hurryupDWP

I got my successful letter on the 20th April therefore approx 3 weeks before you but mine was waiting list successful :(. I think though it depends on your area as to how long you have to wait after receiving your letter.
Keep phoning and let us all know any feedback you get from the call.

This is brilliant thanks, but I can't find the address anywhere - can any of you tell me the address of HR in Newcastle, re-feedback for failed interviews? Thanks to everyone who replied.

Write to the address on your failed interview letter assuming you still have it.

hello everyone i am a first time poster (long time lurker) and i find myself in the same boat as many of you...awaiting 'THE CALL'

I recieved my successful letter (no waiting list) on the 15th may and as yet have heard nothing, i have phoned newcastle last week and they tried to fob me off with old 'the crb/disclosure can take 6 weeks to come back' line. even though disclosure scotland say they now turn around a basic check in 5 days!?

well, i phoned disclosure scotland and they have told me they sent my crb to the DWP on the 9th june and could even give me the name of who they sent it to, i have since tried to contact this person but he is on holiday apparantlly..great. All i can get out of them is i should here something very soon.

this is driving me crazy i am living of the redundency money from my previous job and it won't last for ever!

Is anyone else on here waiting for a start date in the south wales area for AO

(if your worried about your crb get in touch with disclosure scotland and if you give them you name and date of birth they can tell you when and who they have sent it to)

DWP have had mine for a month and still not heard anything, i thought this was the final check !! AAAAaRRRRGGH my head hurts from the deafening silence of the phone

Hey... I'm waiting for a start date as an AO for the South Wales area..... Where did you have you interview? Had mine in Newport on the 3rd of May and received a successful letter on the 20th.

Had my CRB sent to my home address last week and I sent it on to the DWP... nothing from them so far though....

Glad to see there is someone else in my area waiting... I was beginning to get a bit paranoid that perhaps people have started already....

Thanks. I was originally told they hoped for mid-July too, so maybe I'll be given a similar date. I emailed earlier and was told my checks had cleared and someone would be in touch in the 'near future'.
