DWP employment waiting list

Hi

To all of you that have had the 'call' offering you a start date and location etc. Do you know if the call was made from the recruitment team in Newcastle or was it from the local vacancy holder?

Hi everyone!

Hopefully somebody might be able to help me here?

I received my "successful" letter (no waiting list) on the 10th May... a couple of weeks ago my one of my personal referees had been contacted for a reference, and today I received my CRB check in the post.

Firstly, do we need to send this CRB to Newcastle? And does anybody have the address? I'd prefer to scan it and email it to them as it would be quicker - already been waiting long enough lol! Or do they need the original?

Also, does anybody have a contact number for anybody at the DWP who is dealing with the checks?? The lady at the bottom of my letter is a bit unhelpful and just tells me to keep waiting... and most of the time her number just rings out anyway!

Any help is appreciated :-) Thanks!

Hi guys,

Following your earlier advice I contacted Disclosure Scotland regarding the progression of my CRB check and they have not received anything and there's no record of it!!!
So I contacted the DWP (Newcastle) who are now going to send out 'another' CRB disclosure form for me to complete and return to them. It's a good job that I used this forum rather than simply waiting for my CRB check to drop through the post box.

Surprise surprise:rolleyes: They kept on telling me mine was being processed but Disclosure Scotland kept saying had never heard of me. Even George Platt (checking team) said "I can't tell you how many times Disclosure Scotland have said that when the form was already on my desk". In a further phone call he said they had found a pile of forms in their old office that had not been dealt with (apparently they should have been done ovder a weekend but were not). He said they would be sent of and I know my was because I have had the copy back from Newcastle.

Tried ringing them but no answer, I guess it's a little late in the day anyways. Will save them and try again Monday!

Has anyone of you kind people done a telephone role play interview and has any tips it would be very helpful thanks.
