Mine is the EO position and theres a few people on here that have got their start dates so im getting a bit worried now!0

From what I have gathered from this thread, they do you on order of merit, so whatever position you are on the list vis a vis interview score, that's when you'll be processed through.
That's quite apart from the delays caused by office space, places on training programmes etc. So if you hear of others starting, don't worry.:idea:0 -
Having spoken to Newcastle they have told me I am in the low teens for the Eo position in Greater Manchester (57875). My CRB was sent o me and I forwarded it to Newcastle and two people have phoned me since asking where it is. I have given them the name of the chap to whom i sent it (this info was given to me by Newcastle over the phone) and they dont seem to know him.Has anyone on the site been given a start on 57875 as my HR Officer seems suicidal and has taken to answering every query with "we will contact you when we get a vacancy". No more, no less.0

Hi everyone,
It really is good to know that there are other people in the same boat as me.
I received a letter on 11th May stating I have been successful, but I haven't heard anything since.
I have read on here that you all received back your CRB in the post before they offered you a start date, I haven't received mine yet
Also the number I ring just keeps ringing, it's not even engaged!!
I am feeling a bit down about it all as to begin with I was really positive thinking I had a job and how it would be a great career for me, but now I feel like they're saying "Yes you have got a job, but you might not have... we'll let you know!!" It's so difficult especially as I am losing my current job soon!!!
Hang on in there! It will happen when you least expect it...

Hi Molly just wanted to say that I too am waiting for a start date for the Merseyside EO positions. I am also getting fed up with it all. I got a successful letter on 6 May, not a waiting list letter, when I rang to find out where I was on the merit list they told me that I am near the top, 22nd on the list of 132 so when checks are complete I should be one of the first to be posted. However I noticed yesterday that some people have already had a start date who were lower down on the list. When I rang them today they said they are waiting on my checks, however DS have told me they posted my CRB check to DWP early June. They told me again that I would be one of the first to be posted with me being near the top of the list and that so far only 1 person has been posted. I just don't know what to think anymore.0 -

Does anyone else get the feeling that Newcastle are making this up as they go along?:rolleyes:0 -

 I know how you feel. After 2 interviews in 2 months for the same job position-the success letter finally arrived! Believe me-when you least expect it-that mysterious letter will be waiting for you.

Hi
I am also waiting to hear about IRC57184 in Birmingham but I think it’s moving quickly at the moment (hopefully!!)
I had my literacy tests at the NEC on March 13th and then my interview on March 25th I think? I got a letter dated April 11th to say I was on a waiting list and they were interviewing until the end of April (apparently all 150 of us were put on a list to start with as there was an old batch of 40 people from the last time that they recruited that they needed to crb checks on and offer positions to first). I then got a letter on 29th May saying the pre recruitment checks were happening and i got my crb today which I faxed to the dwp.
It has taken a while but apparently there are definitely jobs for all 150 people on the list, it is just a matter of working their way down the list, 40 at a time. I am hoping that the crb is the last check (as it’s the one that needs to be paid for) and hopefully the start date will be soon!!
I was told that they had authorisation to do checks on 141 people, and that all 141 of those people would be offered a post. It was true. The West Midlands EO and AO vacancies were a massive recruitment drive and I think its prob one of the reasons why the applications have taken and still are taking so long.0 -
