I truly sympathise. Our interview was 17 April, successful no waiting list letter dated 26 April and then absolutely nothing. Apart from them contacting my employer three weeks ago and again last week and then contacting both my referees. Still I suppose it's only 8 weeks of waiting. I only hope the wait is worth it!!!!!!0 -
No its an EO post mate, maybe you'll hear tomorrow0

Hey GracePsalms,
Applied for the AO vacancy for Central London (IRC58758).
Had interview on 26th April (A Sunday!).
Success letter dated 1st May 2009.
Phoning them every week but keep getting fobbed off.
"Wait 20 working days."
"No, what I meant was 28 working days"
"Just keep waiting"
Will try calling them again tomorrow.
The Central London vacancy was for 10 posts. I think everyone will start at the same time. This means that if there are CRB issues with one of the other successful applicants, we all have to wait until it gets sorted. But I could be wrong. Hopefully I'm wrong.0 -

10? I went for that interview (on Sat 25th) and was told it was 120 posts. It sounded a little high, tbf, but then 10 sounds a little low, given there are at least 8 JCPs falling under the 'central london' district and I'm guessing they're all taking on more than 1 AO.
I think Aoki has been posted under that vacancy already.:idea:0 -
this is one, long thread. Anyway, long story short: I've been on a waiting list for an ao position (in cardiff) since the 11th of december - the waiting lst lasts for 12 months, but i've not heard anything.
At the interview, i asked how many vacancies and waiting list spots there were and was told 13 places on the waiting list, so not as large as some of the waiting lists i've seen posted here.
Is it worth giving them a ring to see what the likelihood of getting a call up is, or should i just write this one off, seeing as i've been on the list for 7 months?0
