  • I think most people are asked to go in for 09:30 on their first day, but you may be best making it 09:00 just in case.

Oh Jeez , I got made redundant , well kinda, 3 weeks ago and applied today for a position of an EO and now thinking that maybe I will have a long slog ahead of me !! Yikes !!

I have applied for 27 positions in numerous different sectors but the closing dates are all at the end of the month so its just all a waiting game now , and a juggling cash game !!

Hi there, what IRC exercise are you referring to??

The reference is IRC 58418 for Lanarkshire posts.
  • Hi all,

I too am still waiting, got my letter 2 weeks ago (no waiting list) but I have since been offered another job and I'm not sure what to do now!

Could someone please PM me the number for Newcastle as I do not have any of my information with me. Thanks x

Was anyone at the Leeds recruitment days? Any news?

I was also offered Southampton - I told them I'd do it if they offered more cash! I started in Gosport on Monday, saving me £2500 a year travelling.

Stick to your guns and hope they have something closer for you.

I'm already in the running for an HEO job and have been advised to apply for another HEO position internally. I just need them to get me on the computer system now...

I'm really pleased that its all working out for you :D.
How long was the wait from when they offered you Southampton, then Gosport??? They called last Thursday. Going out of my mind with worry now. Just in case they may not get back to me cos i turned Southampton down.

    Good News!!

Got a call and received a start date of the 13th of July. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone for all advice and help given in this thread and the 'dwp interview' thread. Im not sure i wouldve got through without it.

To all those still waiting for a postion in Merseyside, I'm sure you'll get a call very shortly as the process seems to be moving through its final stage..so dont get too down as i'm sure you'll get some good news soon.

    That's excellent news!

What area are you starting in?

I've not heard anything yet, but will keep an ear out for the phone this week...

    Hi Heveweight

Congratulations on getting your phone call for a start date! I am so pleased for you. Bet you're really made up!

Re. your quote "To all those still waiting for a postion in Merseyside, I'm sure you'll get a call very shortly as the process seems to be moving through its final stage..so dont get too down as i'm sure you'll get some good news soon," do you know if many other people on Merseyside are awaiting a start date? In regard to my own problem, I was told that my papers had been "unmarked," and as I said, I made numerous calls to ascertain what has happened, but so far nobody has got back to me yet. This is obviously led me to wonder if other Merseyside applicants encountered the same puzzling problem of "unmarked interview result papers." It really is agonising waiting and wondering just what has gone wrong here. However, if you said that the Merseyside recruitment process is moving along, then I hope that it won't be too long before I do get a phone call or letter with a start date, as it would certainly put me out of my misery!

Good luck in your new job. You deserve it.

    Best wishes
