Are you absolutely sure DS sent it to you? Because DWP will send you a copy of the one they receive. From following this thread, I believe it's a copy from DWP if it comes in a manilla envelope.
Nah, white envelope, defo from DS...Has their Glasgow address on the back... Will call them tomorrow and offer to scan it and email it, if not, will send it by recorded mail. Or I might even do both...:D0 -

Fair enough then. Yeah, you may as well do both to be on the safe side. (don't forget to keep a copy for yourself though)
I heard today my CRB was sent by DS to DWP last Thursday. I hope that means I hear something soooooooooooooon but I know my HR officer is on holiday now so what's the betting it lies in the in-tray.:idea:0 -

Yes, do photocopy it. In case it (perish the thought) gets mislaid by someone at DWP.:idea:0 -
Haha... I'm going to scan and e-mail it, fax it and send it by post, perhaps twice each. Or maybe then they would think I was taking the pish..... heh0

:mad::rotfl::THi everybody-I got THE CALL at 0915 this morning. Start asap, but opted for 29th June. It is AO at Cambridge Job Centre. Time line was, interview 29th April, Success letter 16th May, start 29th June:eek:Roughly 7 weeks after success letter:jThat 7 weeks seemed the longest 7 weeks in history, but when it comes, the CALL is out of the blue, no preamble, that is it. Decision time. Decision time in my case, was the fact that I have been successful in three exercises, and the decision was, do I accept a position that involves a 36 mile journey, plus a park and ride, or refuse it and hope that a position nearer to me may materialize. A bird in the hand worth two in the bush sprang to mind. Bearing in mind that the last interview that I had, the interviewers were talking in terms of a 12 month fixed term contract , rather than 18 months offered by Cambridge. This indicates to me that the end of the recession is forecasted to end in 12 months as opposed to 18 months. I am happy just to sign off jobseekers allowance (joke that that is) I will worry about 18 months when 18 months has elapsed. My best wishes go out to all that are waiting for the CALL. It came completely out of the blue, and the lovely District Manager informed me that my checks had now been cleared and she offered me the job, and to go to Cambridge Job Centre at 09:30. I am aware that people have turned positions down because they are not near to them, but the fact is, we are in recession, and that is why these opportunities have come along in the first place. I have lived thru several recessions, and they do end. My advice is, take what you are offered, this is a window, and that window is closing. Do not be too picky, there may not be another opportunity like this. !8 months is better than 0 months. Do the maths, look ahead, the DWP will pull the plug on all of this, when the recession starts to ease. My best wishes go to Lilli, who has been waiting so long, and my previous notice to Punky girluk, who got the CALL i I hope. This in itself has been a wonderful site, and I learned so much, which one, was patience. It could probably be equated with the Japanese game called `ENDURANCE`. As some of you may have gathered , I am a TREKKIE and have loved `VOYAGER` ever since its inception.
The parting comments that I would like to pass to all of you `Is live long & prosper` and hope you all gain placements in the end. I got there!!!:j:money:
