Can anyone gve me some idea about the training for an EO

    What it involves?
    How long it lasts?
    Whether you get full pay?

Believe it or not, I've just had the call offering me an EO position in Leamington.

    :j:j:j:j:j

start 20 July, 2 weeks training in Nuneaton, 2 weeks in Birmingham, another 2 weeks in Nuneaton. Hours for first two weeks will be 9.30 - 3.30 ish, but full pay (got to wait for details on that)

18 month contract (to be reviewed)

and I get to watch Wimbledon!!!!!!!
  • Thanks for all your help - I'll be starting my training on 13th july too, so relieved to finally hear something. :D

I was told the training would last for 3 weeks, then we'll be assigned to a specific office which they hadn't finalised for me yet (but would be close to where I live).

That's a good question re: payment during training - I'm wondering that too.

OMG - you too. Well done - just waiting for my call. Will ask as much as possible about the training and let you know. That is assuming I WILL get a call.

It is - here's hoping this is a countrywide epedemic of activity on their part. Fingers crossed.

I was also asked if I'd applied to Birmingham, which I have, so the lady I spoke to is emailing them to let them now I've passed for Coventry area, this apparently will not affect the Cov offer and I just need to let Cov know if I accept any offer from Bham. If Bham take as long as other areas it'll be Sept/Nov before I get a start date from them, and I can't afford to wait that long.

Good news for others who I know have multiple applications outstanding methinks.

I'll keep you all informed of the outcome.

Think I might  tonight to celebrate! :D

    Hey guys...
I received by CRB form today from Disclosure Scotland... I could have sworn I asked for it to be sent straight to the DWP on the form... anyway, am going to send via recorded delivery but am not sure which address to send to... I have two addresses, the first from my numeracy/lit tests results letter which is

Tyneview Park, Room TD015 Block D, Whitley Road, Benton, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE981BA

The second address is from my successful at interview letter and that is Block 9, Benton Park View, Belsay House, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE98 1YX.

I have phoned up both places to help, all day, but nobody is answering their phone... Bummer....

If anyone knows for sure could you let me know please?

    Cheers guys... :D:D

I know they moved offices and were at Block D etc so I imagine the Block 9 is now the new one. Have you thought of scanning it and e-mailing it?

Well done to all of you that have got start dates!

I called the Merseyside office today and was told they are still waiting for my CRB even though I scanned it and emailed it over myself 2 weeks ago! Grrrr!

Really hope I get the call this week. Does anyone know when we will find out which JC we are allocated to? Where is the training held?

    Well done again guys x

Are you absolutely sure DS sent it to you? Because DWP will send you a copy of the one they receive. From following this thread, I believe it's a copy from DWP if it comes in a manilla envelope.

Very interested to read you too were one of the Merseyside applicants. Was it for EO?

I applied for an AO post and attended the Capita Assessment at Holiday Inn on 20th May. Five weeks have now elapsed, yet still no word. Was told there were no interview marks against my name (SHOCK, SHOCK, HORROR!). Anyway, rang again today and was told that not all the Merseyside papers were back yet, hence the reason why no marks against my interview papers.
