DWP employment waiting list

Hi could someone tell me if there are any staff discounts for dwp employees e.g. shops, gyms, petrol etc

Hi Bekah, thanks for replying.

I completed the Character and Criminal Record Declaration form and took that to the interview and then when I got the "successful" letter, I remember agreeing they could do a CRB but dont actually remember completing a full CRB form (I might have done, but its been a long time since then!).

Do the DWP actually send you a full CRB form to complete and send back to them/the CRB main office?

Hi Punkygirluk-I think that you were on the same recruitment exercise as me, in Peterborough IRC 58727. Cambs & Suffolk. I received my successful letter on the 16th May:jI had put my own address on the Disclosure Scotland (inadvertantly) and received this back from DS a week ago today. So, it looks promising for this particular exercise, and who knows, we could be shilly shallying up the A1 to work before long:eek: Good news about your medical!:T

Hi Pansalar, I was on that exercise too, except I had my interview at the Ramada Jarvis hotel in Leicester. Received my successful letter 26th May. Sounds like they are getting organized. Must be all these new starters, eh!:eek::eek::eek:

I just filled the 1 form in before the interview, i would give them a call if i were you to double check, try rining 0191 2135000 this is the reception number for employee shared services.

Just had a call to say I start on the 13th of July! It has taken me about 7 weeks so does take a while. I also didn't have any contact from them since getting my success letter.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this thread for weeks now and it's given me more information on my EO application than the DWP did!

I applied for the EO job in Coventry in Feb, was contacted in March with an test/interview date for early April. I was successful and have since had my CRB sent back to me. However I've still not heard a thing about actually starting the job. I've been told by the checking team at Newcastle that I am amongst 50 people that will one of the vacancies that they supposedly have, but apart from that they've been hopelessly vague and I'm getting tired of waiting. Has anyone on here applied for an EO position in the Coventry / Warwickshire area? Has anyone heard back? I think it would help to know that I'm not alone!!

Which reference did you apply for, I'm on IRC58423, took the test and was interviewed same day, 18/04, got my letter dated 26/04.

Work reference was checked and returned to HMRC 13/05

CRB was sent to me and I emailed it to Newcastle 23/05.

since then - nothing!

Thanks for your reply! I'm on the same reference as you. I was interviewed on the 18/04 like you (in the 2nd morning group) but got my confirmation letter on 28/04. Newcastle have seen and returned my CRB. but can't tell me anything else to do with how quickly the rest of my application / checks will be processed.

Glad I'm not the only one still waiting! I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!
