Wow i thought i was waiting along time seems thou you have beaten my record. I went for a EO interview in london on the 25th April, still awaiting the results. Did you have to be re interviewed again?? poor canadidates having to do the interview again coz of DWP's error! I hope you hear from them soon!
Yes, I had to be re-interviewed again on exactly the same required job competencies but it was by MANPOWER this time and not DWP interviewers. I just got a phonecall from MANPOWER TEAM asking if I could re-attend as there had been an "INCONSISTENCY" along the way. It wasn't just me that had to go back-it was everyone else from that particular batch. Luckily, I was able to get the time off from my present employment. When I got the call I thought they were ringing to offer me the job. How wrong could I have been!!!
However, I trying my hardest to keep positive and hoping I hear something very soon. I think I was in one of the first group of candidates to be called back, so whether that's a good thing or not, we will have to wait and see!
I hope you hear something soon too-I will keep everything crossed for you. At least this forum gives us all a chance to "let off some steam!" It's like being part of ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY ON HERE AT TIMES. :grouphug:
Keep me posted.

Hi,
I had a telephone medical, it does mean your process is moving along.

I received DS from the first one, which I sent to Newcastle, with a note explaining that I had been successful in 2 other exercises. Surely they only carry out one lot of checks, and not duplicate?:eek:Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry if this is unwelcome news, but they have to do a CRB check for every individual application. I have taken and been successful or 4 jobs and asked the same question.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Good morning all
Just got a call offering me a position for Southampton, which is too far for me to travel (i didnt put this down). The woman said she would get back to me. Has anyone been offered a place that was too far for them to travel and turned it down to then get offered another place???
Thanks0 -
I received my ds form back from the dwp yesterday, i assume this means it's been processed. now, so it really is just a waiting game.0

Turns out the CRB I received yesterday was actually the copy that I sent to Newcastle so fingers crossed I should hear something soon... 7 weeks wait this job had better be worth it......0

I spoke to a very helpful man responsible for recrutment in merseyside yesterday and it was implied to me that candidates will be getting calls regarding training day start dates within the next week. There is now a list of 72 and they all will be employed as spaces for training places become avalable.
I am on that list of 72 and was 114 of 120 on the original merit list. So if you received a 'success' letter then i imagine you wll also be on that list and hopefully will receive a call withn the next week0 -

Thanks for this - you've done a great job over the last few weeks, and seem to get the inside info we need!
I'll certainly be posting here when I get any news...0
