tiredofwaiting wrote: »Hi again dude,
The peeps you need to liaise with are "the checking team" whom are also based in newcastle. On you letter there will be a number, speak to them and ask them to put you through to the checking team. Your letter should have stated to send copies of p45 n pay slips etc?? also a form which you need to send back confirming you will be taking up the post!
emmmm give it around two weeks yea just to see if progress is coming along ok, ask them what checks are outstanding and they will give you the details, dont take no bulls*** if anyone from the checking team say " we will contact you once checks are completed" although it states on the letter it takes 20 working days for the checks to be completed say to them you would like an update whats been completed so far ie CRB personal Refs. I literally had to force them my personal ref's mobile numbers and emails lol after which they contacted them immediately so....
Best of luck man!!
Wow i guess i am further away from the goal post than i thought then! all my letter states is that they are undertaking the pre recruitment checks and that they will be in touch once these are completed. It doesn't ask for me to do or send anything.
Maybe the process was different with mine as i did fill in forms and provide p45 as well as activity for the last 3 years on the day of the interviewOne day I will be a [STRIKE]respectable[/STRIKE] Civil Servant.Until then, I will be a secret MSE poster :shhh:0 -

Hi Mixed Emotions
Congratulations on your success letter. However there is still a long road ahead. All your IRC Group's applications have to be sent to the checking team in Newcastle and they have 20 days from receipt of them to undertake all the checks. For instance our group received their letter dated 28 APRIL, the checks were partially completed last Friday and the successful list sent to the local vacancy holder. We now await the local vacancy holder sorting out who goes where and contacting each one in turn and sorting out start dates. So far 8 weeks from success letter.0 -
I got a phone call today about my HEO post. No start date yet - she said they hoped for mid July - but she told me which office I would probably be working in. Feeling positive now. :T0

Thanx for that info. I guess waiting and waiting for a start date will be annoying, but waiting for the 'success' letter was EXCRUTIATING so i'm sure i'll survive lol
Will i be notified about a start date in good time do you know? i have childcare to sort out before i can start, which won't be doable in a day or over a weekend! One day I will be a [STRIKE]respectable[/STRIKE] Civil Servant.Until then, I will be a secret MSE poster :shhh:0 -
Hi..... I’m new to this forum so a BIG HELLO to everyone.
I have just received my disclosure scotland form today to my home address, and was wondering who shall I send this to at Newcastle?
Does anyone have the address where this is supposed to be sent to? Also, should I send a copy instead of the original certificate?
Thanks
Hi there
The address you need to send your D/S certificate is
Employee Shared Service
Resourcing DWP Room TD001/015
Tyneview Park
Whitley Road
Newcastle Upon Tyne
NE98 1BA
I've just received mine back from D/S today. This is the address on my certificate. As we were advised at the interview to put this Newcastle address down for correspondence to speed the process up.
I think its best to send the original copy Recorded Delivery, with also a note of who you are and your IRC number.
Hope this helps and good luck :A0 -

janeway123 wrote: »Hi - Do you know what happens, when applications for 3 different IRC exercises have been successful? I had 2 successful letters in May, and 1 in June. I received DS from the first one, which I sent to Newcastle, with a note explaining that I had been successful in 2 other exercises. Surely they only carry out one lot of checks, and not duplicate?:eek:Thanks!
So for instance in my case my AO application came back OK in March which they were able to use for my EO application later on.
The checking team will inform you if they have done this (as someone advised earlier, just phone the number on your letter and ask for checking team).;)0
