DWP employment waiting list

Hi..... I’m new to this forum so a BIG HELLO to everyone.
I have just received my disclosure scotland form today to my home address, and was wondering who shall I send this to at Newcastle?
Does anyone have the address where this is supposed to be sent to? Also, should I send a copy instead of the original certificate?
Thanks
Hi at150,
I just called the number on my success letter and spoke to the named contact in charge of the exercise, she gave me another name for the checking team manager.
Of course that may be completely wrong - who knows?Others may have a better idea how to ensure it doesn't fall down a black hole at Newcastle

Is there anyone on here that applied and had an interview for the Stockton AO job back in March/April I think it was?
Has anyone that got a waiting list letter heard anything else yet, i was 37 out of 97 on the waiting list but haven't heard anything else and can't get through to Newcastle.
Should i have had any confirmation back from disclosure scotland or do they not let you know if your disclosure was ok?October Comp Wins -Stella Artois Challice (FB)0 -
Hi there,
Have been reading this thread for a few weeks now in case I saw someone who went for an interview at Ayr on May 9th (AO IRC58749).
I managed to get through to someone last week who said that the reason it was taking so long to get letters out was that they were interviewing for 3 regions that day. Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Dumfries and Galloway.
She said that letters should be going out in the next couple of days (this was last Thursday).
Hopefully we should hear something soon. Thank god for this thread or i would have given up a long time ago!!
Edit: Got a letter this morning to say i was successful but was on a waiting list - bummer!0 -
Just called D/Scotland. They received my documents on Fri 12/06 and are within service levels to complete. The waiting continues.....0

Hi Mixed_Emotions,
CONGRATULATIONS on your success!! you most certainly have been very patient, well its been worthwhile. I'm still awaiting my interview results, like you i've been waiting almost 8 weeks now. Called up employee services and Kennington JC, afetr making enquiries MYSELF seems thou kennington were taking their time in passing the results to employee services (just sent a few days ago to employee service grrr). I would anticipate another week or so before i hear anything. If i don't get position then i'll just have to tak up the fixed term EO in Surrey (awaiting the "call" checks have been completed already) but I want the PERMANANT EO in London LOL.
Anyhow once again congratulations. I'd probs say another 4-6 weeks before your checks are complete (that's how long it took mine for the Surrey position). Do keep a track thou how your pre employment checks are progresing, they need a little push!!!0 -
I just wanted to ask, if you're appointed and you're on a 6 month/18 month contract, could you go part time after...say three months?
If anyone can answer that question, then I'd be grateful
And also, wants the salary for an AO position?0 -

Hi,
im not sure if I understood your correctly. If you mean you want to leave after 3 months of your 6/18 months contracts im sure you will be able to or if you mean you want to work part time and have applied for full time then I think you might need to speak with employee services. not sure if i've been any help!!0 -

From my experience working for the DWP 2 years ago, it is best to sort out the hours you want to work the day you start.
It is difficult to change to part time hours if you have signed a contract for full time.
I know this as I tried to change my hours 6 months after starting full time and they will only agree if it suits business needs.
The pay scales for AO are:
National - £15150
Outer London - £17700
Inner London £19040
These are recent rises and this is the minimum starting pay which all newbies start on!0 -

Hi again dude,
The peeps you need to liaise with are "the checking team" whom are also based in newcastle. On you letter there will be a number, speak to them and ask them to put you through to the checking team. Your letter should have stated to send copies of p45 n pay slips etc?? also a form which you need to send back confirming you will be taking up the post!
emmmm give it around two weeks yea just to see if progress is coming along ok, ask them what checks are outstanding and they will give you the details, dont take no bulls*** if anyone from the checking team say " we will contact you once checks are completed" although it states on the letter it takes 20 working days for the checks to be completed say to them you would like an update whats been completed so far ie CRB personal Refs. I literally had to force them my personal ref's mobile numbers and emails lol after which they contacted them immediately so....
Best of luck man!!0
