That's quite a comfort too. I feel I've been more than patient and have experienced my fair share of c*ck-ups from Newcastle so I just hope it eventually leads somewhere.

I've got a lad on my caseload at the jobcentre who had his AO interview in February. He's only just got his CRB back from Scotland. When I started 20 years ago, they took you on first and any 'issues' got sorted down the line. Not sure which method is preferable.

I don't know what you mean!? :S I didnt send it recorded delivery.
You can track a letter or parcel by filling in the security code of your sent item on the royal mail website. I was advised in this thread to do it and have clarified whether Newcastle had received my CRB. Also scanning your CRB Certificate and send it through email, if asked, is brilliant.

Now I’m confused, I have just looked on the dwp site and they are advertising AO vacancies at the Job Centre’s (Nottinghamshire) that I applied for and got a “you have been successful and we are doing pre recruitment checks“letter in May. Do I apply again or just sit and wait, I have contacted Newcastle they say they are waiting for the checks to come back and DS have no record of me, but I wasn’t too worried as I have managed to get a temporary job until the end of October, but now I just don’t know what to think.

I have just rung newcastle again and today I got through to the pre-employment checkers and got a nice man on the end of the phoned who was really helpful.

Apparently I filled in all my CRB forms correctly and attached a second page for my addresses as requested, but it turns out they never sent the second page with my CRB check so Scotland were missing some details. Now the nice man is going to ring Disclosure Scotland to fill in the missing information and all checks should be completely by the end of next week.

I am just so relieved that it is all getting sorted. :j

OK so to follow up... I am STILL chasing up the DWP!!

Nice man couldn't just fill in the details over the phone as CRB had sent all the forms back to DWP.. DWP had lost all the forms (except one page that they forgot to send) so new forms had to be sent out to me to fill in all over again...

I re-sent all my forms off as requested and was then given a direct line to one of the checkers and team manager in the DWP if I had any problems... it all sounded so great and I was so relieved that things were getting back on track.. he said my forms would be sent immediately and it should all go through quickly.

NB.. he also said that 100 people passed the interviews I attended and only 5 so far had been recruited so I hadn't lost my place on the waiting list (Essex area)

two weeks later (today) I have rung disclosure scotland to find they have no record of my form and it hasn't been sent.. (suspect they have put it in one big pile of forms to send when they get around to it). Tried to ring the direct number given to me by the team leader of DWP to check my forms were received only to find it is a fax number! so the fax machine keeps answering my call and, needless to say, t is not very informative!. Tried ringing the original number on my 'successful' letter and left that ringing for over 5 minutes... I guess it is no longer being used.

So onto plan C.. Luckily I have a fax machine so I am going to send a fax to this number and see where that gets me.

    Hi

I am also on the waiting list for Essex. I chose Southend as first choice and Rayleigh second choice.

What part of Essex did you apply for? I applied for IRC56347 and had my interview at the Westcliff Hotel on the 6th March.

All of my checks have been cleared, waiting for a call like everyone else. So frustrating!

Hi..... I’m new to this forum so a BIG HELLO to everyone.

I have just received my disclosure scotland form today to my home address, and was wondering who shall I send this to at Newcastle?

Does anyone have the address where this is supposed to be sent to? Also, should I send a copy instead of the original certificate?

    Thanks
