Hi Dotty,
I was also part of the Kent recruitment drive.
I first attended the test venue on 20 April followed by second interview on 22 April. On 15 May I received a "successful letter", on 9 June I was offered a start date on 22 June.
What office will you be based at?0 -
Has anyone else applied for an AO position in the Birmingham area, more specifically Solihull and Sparkhill?
I really want me callI hate this wait, and I feel as if I've been left hanging. I should get something soon since I applied in December, a long time ago.

Just to clarify to everyone, when you start work you will be on the starting pay for the grade. This is not negotiable and is the same for everyone who is a new recruit. Inner London is paid higher because of the cost of living, everywhere else in the country is paid the same. Every year around March you have a meeting with your superior and discuss the things you have done over the year and anything you have done over and above your job role. Your boss then grades you and depending on this you get a pay rise, the better you report the more money you get. Hope this helps.0

Thats very helpful. At the moment Im just grateful to start the job whatever the wages are! Although Id be interested to know if anyone knows when they pay their employees...look at me, I havent even started the job yet! But it would be handy to know, Ive moved from London back to portsmouth and my partner is still in london so we are waiting to move in together...all dependent on pay days as to when I can move out of the parents! x:rotfl:0 -

Last day of the month i've been told, someone on here was mentioning that it is possible to get paid fortnightyly for the first 2 months but cant say that is a fact, sounds more like rumours.0 -
You are paid on the last day if the month unless its a sat or sun when you are paid on the last fri of the month. You can request an advance in your wages under certain circs but this will be explained to you when you start0

Hi dotty you must be one of the first from the kent exercise. One of my references has been contacted but still waiting.
I'm sure you'll hear something soon - I don't think they've even done my references yet, but apparently they are now starting people before they've finished the checks.0 -
In my dreams lol i'm going stir crazy. But i was very surprised I passed, I thought I had a dreadful interview, so wasn't expecting to be one of the first. You must have been very high on the merit list so good luck for the 22nd and please let us know how you get on.0

Same here. I have also been told that I can't work on the computer system until clearance comes through, so I'm likely to spend the next week or so getting paid for doing very little...“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”
