DWP employment waiting list

Hi! Bebiineko,
I applied for an AO position in Lincolnshire and Rutland area on 23rd March 2009. My whole process was exactly the same as you and I was told on the day I had passed the selection tests and was given all the relevant forms there and then and told to bring them back at my interview which was a week later. Because there was an ERROR somewhere along the line my "interview batch of people" all had to be re-interviewed again! That was almost 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting to hear whether I was successful at interview stage or not!
So, I phoned Newcastle on the number shown on my paperwork. I was told I should hear this week or next, as all the letters for each "interview batch" go out together so that it is done fairly for everyone, regardless of individual results.
Therefore, I am hoping because all my forms were filled in at interview that will speed up the whole process! I just want to know if I'm successful or not. This whole "pantomine of waiting" is sooooh depressing for everyone!
Kind Regards,

I had my tests on the 26th of April and my interview on the 3rd of May for an AO position in the South East Wales area- Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran.
I received my successful letter (completing employment checks before we can confirm etc etc) on the 20th of May.
Was just wondering if anybody else on here interviewed for the same area as I did and if you have heard anything yet. I went into the jobcentre today to sign on and although they confirmed that a certain amount of people should be starting soon they were unable to tell me when....Am really hoping to get the call within the next week or so....fingers crossed eh?
hey welsh joe - was it for a school holiday contract, approximately 11 weeks of the yr or 16 or some weird thing like that?
im a student and have seen this post, i didnt know so many people were applying for dwp jobs!! i applied in feb for a summer/school holiday contract for AO's in a BDC in South East Wales and was told there'd be interviews and assessments in Easter hols. Oh yeh, code was IRC56533...
This was true. My tests were 9th April, interview 14th april and a successful letter from them 21st April depending on pre-recruitment checks --- i received my actual disclosure from DS in the week of the 19th May -- did anyone get that? I think I've lost it though, do they get sent a copy of it? i hope so, though ive got plenty more.
Anyway, I know that my situation is a bit different as it's part time, well full time hours but only in school holidays and they said they were particularly aiming at students BUT how long should i wait?? At the same time i applied for a sat job which is 4 hrs a week and got that after about 3 interviews but hoping they wont mind me working for DWP if they want me.
It's just really frustrating waiting and not knowing. I phoned the woman on my letter last week after seeing this post but she said they're still waiting for my pre-recruitment checks and they couldnt tell me which bit.
meh, thanks for listening to my ramble - i didnt realise how stressed i was! doesn't help hubby finishes college in 2 weeks with no sign of a job and hes desperate to get away from what hes trained in.
so yeh, just wanted to see if anyone else had applied for a seasonal contract???I am a poor student wife now but don't think I can edit username? i study dance and love it though of course, it'll be a career that doesn't earn a lot of money!!
lost 5lbs so far - up to 11lb more to lose i think, will stop if it looks skeletal though dont think that could ever happen!0 -

Nah I applied for an 18 month contract. Still waiting but I understand it takes a lot of time. Hang in there too. Good luck. And if you hear anything let us know.0 -
Afternoon all,
I received a letter on the 6th of May to say I had been succesful at interview for the Executive Officer role in Chesterfield. I received my CRB three weeks ago and this was sent stright on to Newcastle, I have received a CRB again? Each time I call my 'Recruitment officer' she won't help me, will not give me any info just says it's being dealt with. It's been 6 weeks now and I don't know who else to call or email?
Can anyone help or give me any advice?
Many thanks0 -

I've just got a generic HR number off the website that I am going to try later, does anyone also have the email add to email a scanned copy of your CRB? They will have had this once but don't want to risk not sending it.
It is annoying this process.... i don't want to arrange holidays or anything just in case...0
