tueday 5th may was my interview date and i received my ltr same day as you. dwp havent confirmed my checks, if you wanna make sure things are happening call disclosure scotland on 0870 609 6006 (calls charged at national rates). just give them your name ,dob and ask if a check has been completed on you recently and they will confirm if your check has been sent back and when. As for hm revenue and customs i have no number for you, I am lucky as my mothers friend works there and was able to confirm employment history has recently been checked by dwp. I have not had a start date ,I am expecting a letter in the next 3 days now my checks were complete on monday 8th, I was informed at interview that I would receive a success or rejection ltr in approx 3 weeks(came 24 days later) and then checks would be carried out and the start date they had set at the interview was the 15th/16th june. Looking over the posts on here most people dont receive there start date till about 1/2 days prior so am hoping to hear thur/fri, Not the greatest of news for people who require to give notice but I am sure they have plans in place to accomodate this. Like most of these posts they are open to change of commencment dates but at the interview they seemed set in stone so fingers crossed.0

I thought I had left this thread behind after being unsuccessful with at interview for an EO position but this morning I had a success letter for a HEO position.
Letter says 'We are now undertaking pre-recruitment checks and you will be contacted again once these are complete to confirm whether or not we are able to offer you a post'.
Is this a waiting list letter or if my checks are ok am I likely to be offered a position or is it just wait and see? :rotfl:0 -
Hello, Ive been on the DWP waiting list since Febuary, I found loads of blogs saying that they are 31 or 55 on the waiting list. How do i find out what number i am on the waiting list and does any one have the phone number please, im in basildon essex, many thanks lisa.0

if it does not mention a waiting list and says they are now undertaking checks it means you have got a position aslong as checks come back clear. crb are taking 5 days at the moment, and hm rev and customs are just as quick0

Dont worry too much about passing your checks, I had a number of things I thought I might fail on but got through with no problems.0

Hi,
As I understand it they offer jobs on a strict merit order basis. A possible reason could be that other(s) higher up the list than you have still not had their checks com pleted.
For instance my success letter (not waiting list) was dated 26 April and as of yesterday they had not sent my (and about 9 others of my batch) forms off to Disclosure Scotland, late last week they wrote to my employer for a reference and yesterday that contacted a personal reference.
I hope this helps.0 -
Just contacted Disc Scotland and been told they do not have any record of a request for me.
Has anyone been in this situation? Any suggestions as to the next step?

I was contacted by someone working for HR in Manchester JCP this morning - looks like they have been tasked with investigating the disclosure issue in our area (Merseyside).
I was asked if my disclosure had arrived at my home address - I replied that I put the Newcastle address on my form as the guide leaflet had advised, and therefore not had the form arrive at home. Maybe not everyone did this, and she was ready to give me the correct address to send the form back to if it did arrive at home.
I've completed three disclosure forms now, and were it not for the clear instructions I recieved on the first occasion re: putting the Newcastle address in the reply section I may have put my home address instead.
Mind you, at least the people who did put their own address know that the checks have taken place, whether or not it delayed the process by a few days!0 -
