DWP employment waiting list

Hi! All.
Just noticed that a few of you have heard from Lincoln Jobcentre. I applied for an AO position back in March 2009 and Lincoln was my second choice for location. I passed the selection tests and have been interviewed and re-interviewed! I have filled all my forms in twice now as there was some sort of problem their end. I have never received a "successful" or "unsuccessful" letter either! And still waiting to hear something. Is anyone else in a similar situation? I was told at interview I should hear something within 21 days. This waiting is a nightmare!

I've just rang Disclosure Scotland as well, they have no record of me - lime a lot of other people on here!!
I am so angry. The woman I spoke to said their turnaround time now for checks is 5 days, so the excuse they've given me over and over again for the last 9 weeks of waiting have obviously been lies!!
Just rang up my local recruitment people and complained, they're going to ring me back, i shall keep you updated.
Completely feeling your pain! Called DScotland on fri and they had no record, called Newcastle this morning and after some persistence I managed to speak to the actual person doing my checks. He sounded bored, and frankly, !!!!ed off! He said he would call me back once he found out what was going on....
Surprise surprise, Im still waiting for the call. But Ill be calling first thing tomorrow and every day til I get an answer! I realise they are busy, but when people are out of work, desperate times call for desperate measures!! x0 -
I recieved a successful letter 11th May and havnt heard anything since. I have called Newcastle with to find out whats going on and they give the usual lines about checks etc. I called Disclosure Scotland today and they havnt even recieved anything for me! I am so cross and cant even get through to Newcastle. Im a struggling mum of 3 and i want to go back to work so i can provide better for my family. I feel so let down by this process. I was so excited when i got the successful letter and now it seems like ill never start work
Completely understand. I was at the Southampton post for an EO positon and had success letter 15th May. Id call Newcastle again and ask to speak to the person doing your checks...let me know how you get on! x0 -

For some reason there are 2 recruitment exercises in Lincoln, the post I have got is in relation to 57573 not 587440 -

I received a success letter on 29 may for an EO job in Stockton (IRC59185) and currently undergoing 'pre-recruitment checks'.
I was very surprised at my success as I thought my interview went badly - I even told the interviewers that I thought I hadn't performed very well. Also they told me that they would be recruiting 12 people and interviewing 110 so I had low expectations of being successful.
Does anyone have any insight as to how long everything might take. I have not been told anything about waiting lists.0 -
DWP are advertising for EO positions in Coventry again, I'm still waiting on an offer there and in Wolverhampton!0

Sorry mate, dont get ya hopes up about starting monday or tuesday, this is the date I was given at interview stage, I have had it confirmed that my disclosure has been returned and also that my ref's have been done. I assume that yours would have been done at the same time but theres no guarantees, hopefully see ya when were both started0 -

Anyway, like you I was part of the EO "mop u" interviews. They said at that point there were 115 on the merit list from the original April interviews. I rang up on Tuesday, last week and they said I was on the list and would be in the first batch to be posted (around 60). I received my successful letter yesterday subject to pre-recruitment checks. If you haven't received your letter yet, ring up and ask if they can tell you over the phone. If they say you have to wait for the letter as everyone needs to be informed at the same time (as they said to me), say you know others from the same exercise have already been informed (as I did) - they then told me. GOOD LUCK and let us know how you got on.
HI
I have telephoned four times and yesterday discovered my scores are not on the computer. One of the girls resp. for the exercise said she'd check with the business and call me back. Needless to say...heard nothing. In addition I was invited for interview for the AO post at the Foresight Centre on 17th May. I called the local dwp, the day of my EO interview, and they said there's no need to be interviewed for both you'll be scored for both EO and AO this afternoon! So have written twice to Newcastle to ask for confirmation. Once by recorded delivery and then by special delivery. Guess what? No reply. So I emailed...no reply. Tomorrow I have an interview for a temporary 13 week AO job on the Wirral. I'm cross because I have to go through all this twoddle again. I really despair!0 -
Hi
I have been reading this thread with great Interest.
I had an interview on March 6th and success letter received on 31st March for AO position at Southend On Sea Jobcentre.
Posted CRB form back on same day as received letter.
received CRB certificate 3 weeks ago.
I telephoned Newcastle last week and was told my checks had been completed and my details had been passed over to the business support team and to expect a phone call soon.
I also asked my position on merit list and was told I was number 1. The lady I spoke to was called Kay and her name was on my success letter.
After reading the posts here, I don't know what to believe anymore!
Has anyone else applied for IRC 56347 or any Essex vacancies?0 -

Thanks for your reply.
Congratulations on your success. It is somewhat reassuring to know that Stockton seems to be moving quickly. So far I have heard nothing regarding checks or start date - but it is still only 10 days since I got my 'successful interview' letter.
It would be helpful if you could answer the following:
Have you had a start date confirmed, what date did you attend interview and when did you receive your 'success' letter?
Thank you and I guess I will be working with you soon.0
