    Hiya

I called Disclosure Scotland today and they have no record of my CRB so im guessing it could be a while yet, its so annoying!

When did you send your stuff back? Where were your preferences?

Guess we are just playing the waiting game....!

    Hi Molly;
I was sent the health and area preference forms by Garston a couple of weeks before my success letter, I picked central Liverpool (Edge Hill etc.) and the Wirral as I could get to them by train from Chester.

I was hoping they could use my disclosure documents from my AO exercise in March - well that's what the Disclosure lady in Newcastle was assuming as she only had a record of that one. Might check again next week to be sure though, now you mention your situation.

Which assessment day were you at? I completed my preference forms and CRB at the assessment day.

Good luck with it all, hope we hear something soon!

I attended Liverpool Holiday Inn on Thurs April 16th - seems an age away now! I filled in the disclosure form before the interview, and afterwards was left in the corridor to get the lift and go (my interview was in a random hotel room on the 4th floor!). I think I was supposed to go back to the main desk to fill out the other forms, but the interviewer didn't explain this...

Best of luck to you too

Discretion fund for clothing is good Ive used 100£. Id like to tell everyone that once you start, roles are allocated according to the needs of DWP. The most important thing is to know your payment band (ao band b, eo band c) and then your job specifics will vary. Unfortunately there's no choise as to where one will start working or what they ll be doing. So, best of luck and I hope it works once you become part for the team. It's nice to have work security, but the most important thing is that you like it! When it comes to Leicester there's huge need for staff so fingers crossed. There are still people coming in next week who have had their interviews on the 5th of March so you can get a picture of the time they needed to wait to start. Hope this helps.

  • had seen the first advert in the local paper and applied online for the eo position. got through initial screening and asked to come to numeracy and literacy tests on 05/02/09 , felt good about it and ended up getting 10 on literacy, and 19 on numeracy, absolutely devasted. What i know now is the practice test for literacy is rubbish and the description of the test on the front page is rubbish , it mentions circling whole words not sentances or 2 words, but it mentions punctuality at no point.
I then applied for 2 ao positions and never got an interview, was not suitable for positin is the words from my rejection letters.
Then aplied for 3 more positions 2 eo and 1 ao, usual response from the ao position((not suitable) and usual response from the eo, please come for tests, took tests again on 14/4/09 in stockton-on tees, MY ADVICE TO ANYONE TAKING TESTS IS DO NOT TAKETHE INSTUCTIONS AS READ, MARK THE TEST AS YOU NOTICE THE MISTAKES, COZ TOO MY RECOLLECTION 10 MISTAKES WERE SPELT INCORRECTLY AND 5 MISTKES WERE PUNCTUATION, the punctuation was never metioned in the instructions otherwise i wud hav passed first time. got 14 on my literacy. anyway got my interview date on 24/4/09, 2 goodlooking young ladies did my interview, did a little flirting whilst doing my interview and felt confident when i walked out, 1 week later i recevied a sucsessful/waiting list letter which i have never heard anything since to this date.
! day after my interview tho i received a ltr asking me to take tests on 3/05/09 for a different eo position, i knew i would not have to take tests again but rang up to say that i had passed tests but also ask if i needed to do anither interview which they informed me yes, any position requires its own interviews, attended it on 5/05/09 and was very dissapointed as i was interviewed by 2 middleaged people who i felt did not respond to me, wheni walked out feeling terrible i went to the pub , have spent the last month waiting for for my failure letter from the 2nd eo position and hoping for a start date from the first, yesterday 29/05/09 i received a congratulations letter from the inteview i thought i'd fluffed and a start date of the 16/06/09 . 6 weeks from interview to start. I just wanna say thanks to everyone on this site who has kept my hopes up , and those who hav made me feel not alone in my waiting, i wish u all good luck and hope you get a start soon.

    My tips would be
go with your instincts on the tests
Give it your all at interview
apply for every position at every rank possible
apply for any other jobs aswell
and keep your spirits up, there is light at the end of the tunnel

For those reading this thinking how did this bloke get 14 on the literacy test afta writing that mess, i have been out today celebrating and am a little tipsy to say the least, thanks every1, luv u
