Well done! Not being funny but you couldn't have been following this thread if you do not know what pre-employment checks entail or how long the checks take. checks include CRB, references, possible HMRC checks and the amount of time differs depending on where you will be working (what district is it?) but generally they take ages!

I am aware of the checks you mentioned but was wondering if there are any additional checks. Thanks anyway.;)

    I've applied Northants/Leics region.

    Hello Naz,

I just thought to look back through your posts and you said you were waiting to hear about Leicester?

I think you must have applied for IRC58751 like me. My tests/ interview were at Park Inn Northampton and the locations being offered were all Northants plus Market Harborough which is only a short distance inside the Leics border. Presumably you were offered a choice of Leicester/ Leics locations?

I would have thought these should be two separate recruitment exercises but that is possibly just too logical for DWP recruitment  Let's share notes anyway.

    Congrats

And the same to you too.. Yes you are correct IRC 58751. I presume and hope it is Leic as I was not told otherwise at any stage.

Hi there I am in a similar position to you -
    28th Feb tests and Interview
16th March success letter with waiting list
23rd March told I am pulled off list for pre- recruitment checks
I have chased a couple of times to see what stage they are at - no change! I was told that nobody from the recruitment excercise on 28th Feb in Cornwall have bee reruited yet.
    Very frustrating

Sounds about the same as HMRC here, had an interview last summer, was offered full time in January despite telling them I could only do part time all the way along, heard nothing since.

don't hand in your notice yet! you could be waiting ages. It's been nearly 11 weeks since i got my success letter, so i'd have been in trouble if i had given my notice in when i got mine. It's frustrating i know, my employer keeps asking me if i know more about whats happening, but i don't..no one seems to know :(

I totally agree with you Gembolina, don't hand your notice in yet Pixie. I too have been waiting since my 'success' letter. On Monday it will be 14 weeks and I have been told that I have been pulled off the waiting list for pre recruitment checks!

That's pretty much my situation too. Not helped by the CRB delays due to the office move.
