  • hi.Can anyone help,i was at preston in early April for the assesment day for E.O. positions and took the literacy and numeracy tests and had my interview on the same day.I received a letter on 24/04/2009 to say that I had been successful and would be contacted again when pre recruitment checks had been completed,as it is now almost five weeks since I received that letter I have tried to contact Newcastle to check on the progress of my application but have had no success, does anyone have a telephone number which will put me in touch with the right department.

I had an interview May 1st for an AO job and all I've had back is my Disclosure, which I sent to Newcastle and I phoned them up to check they received it, and they have. I haven't had any letter saying i've been successful, or on a waiting list. All I've had is the Disclosure. Does this mean I've been successful or not? Is it normal to hear nothing apart from getting the disclosure back?

Like Silverfox I had my interview on the same day as my tests and after the interview filled in all the CRB forms etc.

I got a letter 20th April saying I was on a waiting list.

Last Monday (ie. 10 days ago) one (not both) of my referees was contacted and provided a reference. Should both have been contacted? I'm not sure.

I haven't a clue who to call - I need to check whether or not there's a problem and the second reference request has gone astray.

    Any phone numbers anyone?

This is driving me mad; I'm trying to get out of computer contracting which is a job I despise but I really cannot get my head around how they can possibly expect me to sit here forever waiting and turning work down :(

Hiya, just wondering if anyone can help...Im currently on the waiting list for an EO position, however ive just been invited to an assesment centre day for an ao position! Im not sure whether to go...as im 36 on the waiting list for the EO position, i have been told that i will be getting a job but i could be waiting absoultley ages. So on this basis i think i will attend the interview for AO... what does everyone else think?

Has anyone had an interview for the AO position since the new competencies have been brought in?

Are you still only asked four questions?

Thankyou to anyone who can help lol
