Congrats . I was at the same venue on the 7th May and received success letter yesterday. Now just waiting for the checks and start date. Hope it does not take too long.0 -

I called Merseysde and they said I had passed the intervew. I then spoke to someone in Garston and he said hes expecting to hire everyone who passed the interview provding they pass the checks. I was number 114 on the merit list so they will be taking on a lot of people. The first 60 on the list are beng sent for checks and assigned positons first so will probably receive success letters first0 -

OK I am really upset now.. I have just got through to Disclosure scotland and found out they returned my form back in April as there was problem with address history apparently... not sure what the problem was but i have phoned DWP on several occasions since then and they continually say it is pending and would ring if there was a problem.. grrrrr!
So I have just rang DWP again and there is a really bad connection on their phones but someone is supposed to be phoning me back to chase it all up
I have just rung newcastle again and today I got through to the pre-employment checkers and got a nice man on the end of the phoned who was really helpful.
Apparently I filled in all my CRB forms correctly and attached a second page for my addresses as requested, but it turns out they never sent the second page with my CRB check so Scotland were missing some details. Now the nice man is going to ring Disclosure Scotland to fill in the missing information and all checks should be completely by the end of next week.
It sounds like there are a few people absent at the department so that probably isn't helping the chaos they are under at the moment but it really goes to show that you should chase things up with CRBs if you think there may be a problem as DWP may not even realise there is a problem to ring you about.
I am just so relieved that it is all getting sorted. :j0 -

Hiya
I called Disclosure Scotland today and they have no record of my CRB so im guessing it could be a while yet, its so annoying!
When did you send your stuff back? Where were your preferences?
Guess we are just playing the waiting game....!0 -
Just bought my work clothes today with the ADF. I was just told to go and choose what i need and get quotes for their prices. I then met with a personal adviser, my quotes had totalled to £180 for clothes and 75 for a travel pass. The PA approved £140 for clothes and the 75 for travel pass. I had a choice of DP or Bon Marche, I chose DP. Can't wait to start now!! Just 2 days to go.0

Good luck for Monday!!
Why did they only approve £140 and not £180 or is that a typo??0
