DWP employment waiting list

But the advert disappears from the DWP jobs website once the closing date has passed! I saved mine as a bookmark, but it's not there now.
I received my 'you have been successful' letter last week, so waiting for a start date now.0 -
you wouldnt have found out anything about the position from the letter - it would have been in the initial advert!! they wont care but if they did its probably more your fault for not keeping the original advert!
I applied for two positions;ao and eo. When I was offered my starting date I was not told which position they meant. I was asked about my starting date, then given the address of the JC, and then told 'all details will be in your confirmation letter'.0 -

I completed the online test on 11/4/09. I receviced a letter yesterday inviting me to an interview on the 21st of this month.
For the 1st part of the interview i have to prepare a 10 minute presentation on 'What are your key strengths as a leader?'
How was your interview Charlotte? Please share your experience with me, expecially the presentation - what did you talk about ? I'm having mine next Friday and I'm nervous.0 -
I have been told that they are still waiting to hear back from my personal references...
But they haven't even contacted them yet!I know because both have been on the look out and received nothing.
I have called 4 days in a row (not yesterday) and they've stopped answering phones.
I got sent my CRB back last week.
If I wasn't unemployed and desperate, I'd give up. I got laid off over a week ago and on the same day got told by my landlady that I have to move out in a couple of months as she's no longer letting the property.
I don't know how I am gonna afford a deposit for a new house, as I did not get one on this place and am living off a weeks wages until I even get JSA!
I really need a job ASAP.... This is taking so long. I handed my application in 16th of January and got told I was on a waiting list 6th March!0 -
I can understand your position at the moment, I have just spoken to them and i have not heard anything from them. i put the jobcentre address on the form and it seems like i am waiting for CRB but i have not even heard if i was successful at the interview. I think this is very bad practice for the DWP, i know there are a lot of us who don't have any employment and waitiing to hear is just ridiculous. I am very surpised that they are allowed to treat people like this. I am very disappointed and i feel as though i should just get another job.0

As harsh as it may sound, I guess you can't put all your eggs in one basket with regards to this position. I'm sure they haven't stopped answering the phones- maybe they are just snowed under with people ringing them every day, asking the same questions. It must be frutrating from both ends.Bored0 -

Maybe it is frustrating on their end, it must be a big operation...
I just hope that they don't take months to sort out my benefits.
It is just this one thing needs doing.0 -
Well tbh, they shouldn't say they have contacted my references if they hadn't. They even had the wrong details for one!

My refs were never contacted, and I have been offered a start date (of next Monday)
How did they get the wrong details?!
Best of luck, but I do advise you to look elsewhere too!Bored0 -

Congrats!
Where abouts will you be working?
I start on June 1st and have had a letter confirming it. Not much in it really, just confirmation of start time, who I should report to and some info about pensions.Bored0
