That's still great though, at least you passed. I got a waiting list letter for the first post, but when I called them up to see where I was on the list, they said i was being pulled of the list for checks so will definately be getting a position when they are cleared. So it may be worth giving them a call!

Yeah i guess its good but been waiting since January when I applied to work for DWP so really need a position asap! What JC+ will you be working at? How lond did your checks take?? - Im waiting for my checks to be complete for another AO position too and waiting for my CRB to come back for a BDO position! LOL its all happening with me! Need a job!

I will be working in Five Ways House, My checks haven't come back yet because they mis-placed them twice, but they said I can start on Tuesday, but if my checks were to come back with something negative on them, then they would have to let me go, but luckily I have nothing to hide so should be fine. I went for the interview in March for this position so it has taken a couple of months.

Still haven't received any paper work (start Tuesday)! The number I have for Newcastle rings with no answer - but I had a call earlier from the JC+ where I'm going to be working asking me for my details (address, NI Number etc) as they were having no luck their end either!!! Anyway- pleased to find out the position is permanent, very pleased.
  • First post - hello everyone!
I was at the Holiday Inn for EO interview too - got a "success" letter two weeks ago. When I phoned up, they said it would be "a few weeks" to undertake checks, so just playing the waiting game at the moment.

This forum has been very useful, looks like a lot of us going through the same thing.
I'd applied for two AO positions in Chester and Shotton too - after interviews, I got the "waiting list" letter for one, and an "unsuccessful" for the other. So I guess I've got the full set now!
Cheers for the information. I attended my interview later than the others who were at the Holiday Inn because my letter asking me to attend never arrived. So I was one of the last to be interviewed. They said that of all those who got through the interviews so far, there were 115 on the merit list but anticipated 200 posts.

Further to my long, long tale, am waiting for CRB checks on EO post, which should be through by next week if the 20 day period hasn't been delayed.

But I went for an AO interview (Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth) on Tues 28 April and haven't heard a dickie bird about whether I passed that or not. Did anyoe else interview for the same job and if so, have you heard anything?

I'm not that bothered as I have an EO post (apparently) and have been 'successful' at another AO interview, but I surely should have heard anyway? It's almost a month.
