Contacted the person running my excercise today to check my CRB has been recieved, he confirmed it had and was just waiting for checks from HMRC not employers, he said I should be hearing about a start date in about 15 days.
  • I took the literacy & numeracy tests on the 4th March, was advised of pass result same day. Letter also gave me an interview date of Saturday 14th March.

Attended the interview on the 14th March, received a letter today 31st March advising me that I had been successful.

No mention of waiting list but enclosing the CRB check to complete.
    :j

    I have a start date!!!!
1st June. No waiting list, 18 month contract.:T

    Congratulations :T

I got a phone call today saying that I may not receive confirmation letter before my start date. Newcastle snowed under. So was told where to go on my first day, start time and location of staff entrance. Makes it all seem so real now :D

Sorry to moan guys but i'm a bit miffed at the moment. I am on a waiting list in Derby. I check the website yesterday and what do I see???

Them advertising a position virtually similar to the one I am on a waiting list for!!!!

Why don't they just take more peeps off the waiting list????

    IRC 56377 - Processing Assistant - I was unsuccesful
IRC 58777 - AO - BHAM & Solihull - Still waiting to hear from them - Have you heard from them? They only finished interviewing last Friday so letters should be sent out by the end of this week/early next week! - fingers crossed! - If they only finished interviewing last Friday - that must mean they have been interviewing people for 3 weeks because I was interviewed in the first week on 30 April

Hi no I haven't heard from the AO one yet they said we should hear by the end of this month. I did get a call though yesterday offering me a start date for the other one, I start this Tuesday.

ooooo cool! congrats - got letter this morning for AO Bham & Solihull - 12 mnth waiting list - didnt score very well in interview to make it through the first batch of people! arggh! damn!

What JC+ will you be working at?
  • Wow. This thread has crushed some hope lol!
I applied for a AO in the jobcentre plus, I had my selection tests 26th March, I then had my interview 9th May and I am still waiting for a letter with the results of my interview. The longer it takes the more I think I was unsuccessful, is this correct or does the DWP just drag their heels at every point? I'm just wondering for people applying within London what sort of waiting times am I looking, not just for my interview results but beyond that assuming I'm successful?

That's still great though, at least you passed. I got a waiting list letter for the first post, but when I called them up to see where I was on the list, they said i was being pulled of the list for checks so will definately be getting a position when they are cleared. So it may be worth giving them a call!
