  • :money: I was very happy with the manner in which my claim was handled by the FSCS, so much so I e-mailed them my sincere thanks. It all went through exactly as they had promised, within the time frame stated, which came as a pleasant surprise in these financially turbulent times. Thanks too, to MSE,for their advice and updates on that ( & many other ) subjects.:T JKW
  • Nope - filled in the forms and sent them off - a month or more ago? Heard nothing yet from FSA
  • Apart from a minor hassle between 2 email addresses, no real problems. Well done, FSCS!
  • FSCS brilliant. All went exactly as they said it would. We were biting our finger nails towards the end when we heard others had been paid, but they came through brilliantly. Thanks so much.

FSCS compensation went well which is more than can be said for trying to reinvest with Nat West - customer service and consistency is not their forte!

Agreed! Opened a NatWest ISA a/c in time to qualify for the bonus rate, was told that my cheque for the ISA transfer money given to them 17 Dec would qualify for interest from that date but on checking 12 days later, found it still in my (non-interest bearing) current account!

Went back to local branch to argue the toss with them and was supposed to receive a call within 48 hours but still no news.............................!
  • I got my money back eventually and have to say the FSCS did a good job. Certificate seemed to take forever to follow but once that arrived was able to transfer my ISA.
    to the FSCS.
  • I received my Icesave cash with no problems. the problems started when I wanted to reinvest my ISA into Nat West. Nothing but problems and delays. Needless to say I will be withdrawing it from Nat West asap probably March

we are both still waiting for forms re our fixed rate accounts, two of which matured in november. When I e mail I just get the standard e mail reply. I am glad so many people are happy but it isn`t over yet for a substantial number of us. I have my fingers crossed for next week re a form arriving but what if???? and what then?????
  • Can only describe the job they did as awesome. Money back, ISA cert received and new Scottish Widows ISA up and running, all before the end of the year.
Thank you FSCS, you deserve a pat on the back.
