Hi all,
Sorry this is here, I tried to start a new thread but couldn't find where to click on.
My sister and I hope to go to Italy later in the year. We'd like to see a few places and do a bit of a tour, but are restricted to public transport. And don't speak Italian. has anyone any advice, please? Has anyone been on an organised tour? They seem a good idea in that once you've paid you can manage your money better, and all you have to do is make it to the coach each morning etc. But they are dear.
Thanks

Yes, but making it cheap by staying with my folks in Kentucky, USA... means don't have to buy food and if we get bored there is always the massive garden to sunbathe in or good ole American daytime TV to watch...
Seriously though, got 3 flights flying from Bristol to Newark and then down to Cincinnatti on 30th June, returning 17th July for £1136 so thought that was a good deal... was going to cost us £1600 to go on a two week B&B holiday to Cyprus without food or entertainment and the euro being worth less than the pound now... not good.
Pity the dollar is plummeting now though too.0 -
What about the option for, "it's only December! Who knows? Or cares?"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I am planning to holiday swap my flat next year. Haven't done this before, but I'm sure someone would like a week in London and swap me somewhere (half?) decent. If I can swap with someone nearish an airport served by a budget airline I think this is a great idea for a reasonably priced holiday?0
