people are phoning and chasing because of lack of, and misinformation from barclays staff. people are worried (understandably so) about missing out on £100 or sometimes £200. at initial stages was repeatedly told "no £100's", i couldn't just accept that and walk away.

THANKS MARTIN!! Got our £100 today and 2p interest! Opened our account on 19th Jan, just before offer closed, paid money in on Feb 14th and March 6th. Didn't have to go into branch or anything like that. Also didn't get confirmation email or letter regarding £100. My advice to those waiting, don't give up. Hassle them until you get your money (if you meet t's and c's). The 28 day thing obviously doesn't always apply.

Is anyone else wondering how much money in total will be paid out by Barclays to all of us? Perhaps someone in charge of all this could start a new thread where everyone can say how much they got? I'd love to know how much Barclays are paying out because of Martin!!

4. The account must be opened within one month of fully completing the Barclays Bank Account application form online.
5. Once the new account has been credited with £1,000 or more each month for the first two consecutive months after account opening, the new customer will be eligible to receive £100. Only one £100 will be payable to the new account opened and only one new account may be opened under the terms of this offer. The new customer's account will be credited with £100 within 28 days of the 2nd monthly payment of £1,000 or more being paid into the new account.
6. If a new account is not opened or funded as required by the terms and conditions of this offer, the new customer will not be eligible for the £100.

Just downloaded a statement from the earliest date possible, to date:

Date Amount
23/03/2006 -200
20/03/2006 200
17/03/2006 -200
15/03/2006 200
15/03/2006 -600
13/03/2006 600
13/02/2006 -1000

Doesn't state when the original 1000 was deposited, but would have been 4-7 days prior to the 1000 withdrawal. On that basis, first month was ~7/2/06-7/3/06 (so the original 1k covers that), second month was then ~7/3/06-7/4/06. What do you think??

No because it's not the 7th of April yet - pay £1000 in now!

Got my £100 today, applied for account day before offer ended, first £1000 in and out registered on 22/02/06, second on 13/03/06, and just for insurance, third on 23/03/06. Btw, i never got any emails apart from the intial 10 day delay one, and never had to visit a branch. Good luck to you all!

You should be fine.
Read the T&C's I've posted (again)

You opened account in Jan??
Your first month was FEBRUARY 1K deposited 7th??
You next month was MARCH 1K deposited 20th

You would expect the £100 up to 28 days from 20th March viz 20th April.

Well...

After making a complaint at the lack of response to my application, I had a phone call today from Barclays CS. She asked me, surprised, "Have you not had a letter from us?" I said no and asked when it had been posted. She replied that there was no record of it on the file but one would normally have been sent!

Anyway, I now have to take ID and PoA into a branch and apply there but the CSA said she will personally monitor my account and make sure I'm credited with the £100.

Am I the very last person to get this account opened?

Yay! Was going to give Barclays a call today to ask where my £100 quid was. Never got round to it today too busy at work.

Just got in and I have my £100 in my account! They must have read my mind!

I'm sure i will spend it quicker than Barclays take to put it in peoples accounts!

Can anyone please confirm when the £100 shoudl be credited to accounts? Is it within 28 days of second £1k deposit or after 28 days of second deposit?
