I've never had the e-mail or any paperwork, even though I applied the morning the offer was closed, what should I do?

Ring them up on the free number and ask?

Don't argue with them too much about the offer.
If you draw attention to yourself they could decide not to accept you.
Just meet the terms and conditions and then complain afterwards.

Got a letter through today saying they had trouble setting up my online banking as i was already registered from some old accounts. Logged on and there appears to be a new account, anyone else confirm the new accounts have sort code 20-25-25? If so, I'm up and running which is good going

    Yes that's correct.

What is the number? Also what was the date the offer closed so that I can tell them when I applied, thanks.
2p off is still 2p off!

I don't have the number to hand but it's on the website.

Why do you need to know when the offer closed in order to tell them when you applied? It closed 19th Jan at about 11a.m. (not precise time).
There are 2 ways to find out when you applied
    a) search for the cookie on your PC
    b) get your credit report from Experian and see when they did a credit check. If you haven't used their free trial before you can get it for free (but remember to cancel).
  • Looks as though calmly logging a complaint with Customer Services has paid off. I'd applied on 18th, got the letter asking me to take ID to branch, and then been rejected as my application allegedly was received too late.

Just got a very pleasant call from CS saying that she'd checked with the team dealing with online applications and they had decided I can open the online account with bonus £100, and as long as I met the T&Cs I could go along to my branch tomorrow and complete the process.

    Hoorah!
    Nice to save.

My sort code is that of the local branch.

May be it depends if you had to take ID to branch or not.

I had a very nice personal banker at Barclays today.
She couldn't locate my applciation online, so instead of starting it afresh she has sent my details to the on-line banking people for them to do it so as not to jeopardise my chances of getting the cash (all off her own back).
    So far I'm quite impressed.

    Hoorah!

Sounds good - we are in a similar situation - waiting for CS to call back after lodging complaint...
