Hi folks, just to let you know I am following this.
The salient facts are simple. If you applied in time while the £100 offer was there, and you make the terms and conditions that were available at that point you should get the £100. Of course this is dependent on account acceptance.
Obviously Barclays was swamped by this (hoorah) so it is going to take it time to go through it. However hopefully that will happen. Keep fighting (politely) your corner, and if no joy starts to be common, I will take it up with barclays
If we get no joy, then we will all need to complain and eventually go to the Ombudsman.
Barclays probably won't let it get that far (I think it costs them £350 if you go to the ombudsman). So it will probably be 3 or 4 second class letters and some patience to get the money.
Trust me, I'm on my 6th complaint and I've never lost (it's not my fault's it's the industry).
Keep reading this thread as I'm sure letters to copy will get posted here.0 -
regarding pdf file of the £100 terms and conditions,
is there an easy way of making this screenshot available to all? can it be linked to this website in some way? is it legal? not that i'm too concerned about about the morals considering barclays behaviour!! but mse.com might be!
otherwise i will email to anyone who requests, but i can be away from the pc for a few days at a timePlease note, we've had to remove your signature because it was sh*te!0 -

It would be good if it could be made available on the site - hopefully Martin is reading this thread and will be able to oblige!0 -

I've never had the e-mail or any paperwork, even though I applied the morning the offer was closed, what should I do? Don't want to miss out on my £100!2p off is still 2p off!0

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I happened to register online for a copy of my credit report yesterday from Equifax (this was FREE - see Martin's article about it here: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1132671851,54269,).
I noticed that on my report, there is an entry logged on 18/1/06 (the date I applied for the £100 Barclays offer) showing that Barclays Bank did a search to authenticate me.
Now I still haven't heard anything from them since the "10 day email" that was sent, but I understand people are having problems proving to Barclays when they applied online.
It may help if you can provide a copy of the part of your credit report which logs the search and the date it took place - they can't really wriggle out of that one! Hope this helps, I'm certainly going to use mine if I come up against any problems.
Fingers crossed for us all!Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449
