  • Thanks miemie, never even thought to pre-soak and freeze!!!!

Well, not so long till xmas and seen as though i have been organised and saved all year for it thought i might as well carry on being organised and start buying some pressies................

    my ideas so far.................
    • OH's dad: teasmade reduced in argos, cute personalised mug from studio24, some tea bags and some nabbed uht milk cartons when next in cafe with some homemade biscuits in some sort of box/basket
    • My dad: cheeseboard with utensils, mixture of cheeses and bottle of port in some sort of box/basket
    • My mum: still not sure really
    • OH's mum: again not sure
    • My brother: a wallet with maybe a voucher in or something? in army now so may be argos voucher for when he moves into his own barracks..........
    • OH's sister: ummmmmm????? maybe a pamper hamper as preggars,
    • Her 2 bigger kids: was thinking of a baking bowl with all the ingredients measured out with some little utensils and personalinsed aprons
    • Her little one: still thinking..........................
Still have a way to go but gonna order them over the net and get cashback!!!!! have sort of got my boys sorted in my head just finding bits for ds2. gonna get them stuff that they can use and will include a grow your own type thing, ds1 will be his pumpkin (have seen this in homebase) and not sure for ds2 as maybe a little young still???

Have seen a cherry and blueberry tree in the local garden centre for a tenner each..............now i have my plastic walk in greenhouse i may have to buy them with any birthday money i get (my nan always gives me money and she is the one who got me into it from an early age) ummmmm, fresh cherries. surely a big massive pot will do to put it in????

its a hard one at the mo as would really love some new clothes but then would love to grow my own fruit (and cherries and blueberries are quite pricey)................my former self would never of had this decision to make......would of had both and thought about it later!!!!!

  • happy birthday xx
  • Hey everyone, thanks for the birthday messages girls!!!!

not having such a good time lately, on sat my fella went down south to pick up a load for some extra pennies but it turns out that the load was stolen!!! he spent all my birthday in the cells down there, has been interviewed and is now out on bail and has to go back down in dec whilst they carry out there investigations..........

I have been waiting for them to turn up and search the house as thinking surley they will if they think he is part of the theft but nope!!! am praying if they do then its when i am in and the kids are not so they dont see it and the police wont break my new doors.........thinking now they have left it a little late to do it..........but not very experienced in that world. my fella trying to be strong but i can see this is really eating him up, he has never been in trouble before (apart from a drunk and disorderly caution when he wet ds1's head..............he was 22..........) and being out on bail is just making him feel like a criminal.

my life would be a good soap story line..................never seem to get a break. All the indian girls at work are praying for me which is sweet but pointless, the powers that be arent listening to me and seem to enjoy watching me struggle.

    Ok rant over...............................................................and breathe.

Not much going on on the debt front, still need to pay mil and the egg2 this month and still waiting for my fellas overtime from about 2 months ago:mad: We are def gonna move the overdraft to the cleared card when the 0% deal is offered again so buy xmas next year will of hopefully paid off the cc's, mil and the overdraft. Looking at the overdraft we seem to living within our means at the moment and have more going in than going out so feel oit is the right time to tackle the overdraft, the challenge will be to stay out of the overdraft.......

Also gonna start getting pressies for xmas, but need to find somehere to keep them so ds1 doesnt find them. Might use my brothers wardrobe at my mums now he is in the army (it is a nice big one) and keep a list here of items and price.

Right, time for a brew i think to help me wake up. have had no energy lately and finding waking up, cleaning and being motivated a real struggle. doesnt help that i feel shattered yet soon as i see my bed i am wide awake!!!!!!

    hope everyone else is well,
    love rags

OMG your poor OH! I do hope it all gets sorted for him and they realise he was nothing to do with it. It must be so stressful worrying, have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

The overdraft idea sounds good, that would be great if you could have those debts you mentioned paid off by next year. You sound v. organised about it!

  • Hi Rags
just caught up on your diary (been busy) firstly I want to say I feel so sorry for your hubby I bet you are both out of your mind with worry and it's the last thing you both need right now...but fingers crossed everything should go ok and lets hope it's sorted asap.
Great news on the course I rememeber the days well nursing a bad wound and watching it get better as weeks go by...very satisfying indeed!!! (disgusted with that poor war veteran on news with appaulling bed sores from Leeds hospital how on earth they managed to let a person get that bad is beyond me!!!! rant over!!) I hope you get paid extra for your new role, I bet the course will be interesting, good luck. So have you gone off the idea of doing your midwifery training? I am glad I did mine BUT it's hard going maybe it's something you could do once the kids have got older.
It's great to see you are still debt busting I take my hat off to you as you are doing sooooo well and I know it must be so hard (i have been there) It's great to hear you are getting a green house it will be great to grow your own food, I am thinking of getting one next year as my chilli's and peppers were a success and so were my flowers :)
I felt very sorry for you regarding your drunken hubby, I guess most of us women have been there with their oh at some point in our relationships...I must admit i did lol at the thought of him been naked in front of his in laws :):):) bet he was embarassed to say the least, I remember once my hubby pooing in the bidet whilst on holiday (he thought it was the loo!!) my god he was soo embarrased, now me and the kids take great deal in reminding him!!! and he once set fire to his hands trying to light the bbq one sunday afteroon after been in the pub I was livid as I had to take him to A&E whilst he was drunk!! as some of the staff knew me, although they did find it funny but I didnt! ...MEN!!
Well keep up the good work with your debt busting and of course your very interesting diary

  • hello!

thanks for your kind words everyone, feeling slightly less stressed at the mo figuring they cant surely prosecute with no evidence?? (which they wont get as he isnt involved)

pixie, not given up on my dream yet but thinking of leaving a little longer till the kiddies are that little bit older. figured i might as well grab at what i can whilst i can- can only help my cv look that little bit more.........and I LOVE WOUNDS!!!!! if the manager sticks to what she has said regarding my extended role then i will be a little happier. Am hoping that it will include a payrise but will have to see. they treat me like a senior (and tell everyone i am) so may just pluck up some courage and ask to be paid as one. is it cheeky?????

well the weather is pants here, sooooo much rain and they have forcasted another 5" will come down tonight. flood warnings are everywhere here, my dad got caught in a deep puddle this morning on the way to work and ended up bobbing about like a cork till he got pulled out. oooops!!!!

not much else to report really. for once no drama today (*touching wood as i type*)

    hope your all well,
    love rags
