  • sounds like you have a nice ballence going on at the moe - glad its working nicely and yeah we are all in it for the long haul.

dd1s first couple of weeks of having lunches she didnt have much - think she was talking to much so didnt get time....now she eats most of her lunch. She tends to have a sandwich, cheery toms and cucumber, a frube type yougart, A cheese string (i hate this but when i realised she was the only kiddy without them and was upset i gave in :o) 1/2 bits of fruit and a little box of raisins (these are the thing that some time is left over so its like a extra in case she is extra hungry) Sometimes i change bits for things like cold pasta, little tubs of peaches a muffin or flapjack if we have made them... just realised you didnt really ask for what i put in them :):) lol
What kind of things do you do for your dh??? mine is a nightmare at either spending a fortune or just doesnt eat all day!! I make him sandwiches and some cakes if we have them but just wondered if you had any other ides???

  • Hey all, am a little poorly sick at the mo so not been on here much.

Think i may get a warning when i go back to work as was off on sun after having a little asthma attack at work on sat...........was pre warned that they are not happy with my attendence (only had 5 days off since i went back in march and thats not been me poorly, i suffer and go in it has been the kiddies). ironically i went on sat when i really should of got my chest sorted and was told off by the doctor saying as i was a nurse i should of known better than to ignore it and struggle on!!!!

oh well, i am expecting it so wont be a major suprise. still not well but going in tomorrow as really dont want to push my luck. with the amount of meds i am on at the mo will just rattle into work!! ha ha ha!!!

mummy, in my fellas box i tend to put 2 rounds of sarnies (bulked out with meat, coleslaw and/or lettuce or beetroot) packet of crisps, apple, banana and any other fruit we have that he likes, couple of biscuits (homemade or bought) some cake type stuff (again homemade or bought) some tube yogurts (as he moans the pots go watery) and anything else that i find to put in as a suprise. will say that he is 22 stone and has a big appitite but have found it is now keeping him out of the garages a little more. now just working on the coffee issue again............

having a massive sort out in the house as for some reason the house becomes cluttered very easily. Am either gonna try do a car boot sale or do a massive stint on ebay. My fella has said he will help with the ebay stuff. suggested we do a mammoth photo session and then another listing session and he will help parcel them up and post them if im at work.

Have another order for a wedding cake and this time i will be getting paid!!!!:D It is my fellas mates mum and dad (they are getting remarried, long story) and wont have not paying for it. so have decided to price up everything that i buy for it (cake board, topper, decorations and ingredients) and then add a little on for my time. sound fair?? its due at the end of october and she has left most of it up to me, all she has chosen is the flavours of the cakes!!!! have it all planned already, will post up a piccie once its done.

well not much else to report, another £60 off the debt today. slowly slowly and all that!!!
hope everyone else had a good weekend?

  • Hello, feeling a little better now although still have a hacking cough that sounds like i have smoked 100 fags!!!

Well have been paid £15 from qu1dco (although am still waiting for another £10 or so to be recieved) and reached over a tenner on one of the scratcheez (the second one nearly there) so have round it up to the nearest tenner so paid off £30 to the egg1 card. That is now at £770!!!!:D:D:D recieved a letter from both the egg cards saying our credit limit has been increased which is gonna help big style when the second 0% deals come in the beggining of next year. dont have the pin numbers for them so have no temptation to spend on them. just beed to work out the best way to do it as cant transfer from egg to egg?????? is it worth transfering the egg2 card to the hbos cc and pay the transfer fee then transfer it all back to the egg?????

waiting to hear from freecycle as have applied to ask if there is any wardrobes going out there as really cant afford a new one and the one we have now (thats collapsed) is the second one we have had in the house and we havent been here 3 years yet.

Recieved my goodies from approved foods today so my fella has plenty of rubbish for his lunchbox now!!!!!:D it keeps him happy and saves me spending a fortune in the shops!! and i have got loads of gluten free bread mixes/flours so have got a hard day planned for my breadmaker tomorrow including making some pizza bases for the freezer so next time i really want a garlic bread it wont make me ill and cost a lot to have (garlic butter under £1 in fridge!!!!)

gonna try the boys on a smoothie tomorrow, just need to work out how to use my blender that has sat in my cupboard for yonks:o

Whats everyone else up to?? cant believe its october tomorrow!!!!!! be xmas soon!!!

  • Why is it everything breaks in the house together?!?!?!?!?!?!?! sure they make a suicide pact together!!

Finally getting on top of the housework and washing etc but cant do much with mine and my fella's ironing pile as still have no wardrobe to put it in!!! a friend is selling hers at £200 (cost them over £1k) but my fella is umming and arring as he thinks its too much. keep trying to remind him we paid £200 for ours and it only lasted a short time and not gonna get the quality for no money................hoping to go have a look later today.

gonna attempt to do a lasgna for tea tonight for me and the boys, OH will have steak. (this is my ploy to get the wardrobe as i hate living out of a box) made some banana bread yesterday with some old bananas i would have otherwise thrown out and the boys loved it!!! even ds1 wolfed it down and he wont usually touch banana's. now thinking what other fruit may this work with???? he is skinny as a rake so giving him fruit in a cake doesnt make me break out in a sweat that he will become obese!! he prob needs the extra calories as he really doesnt stop moving!! I actually found a recipe type book yesterday about using up left overs......might see if its still there after i get paid next week.

Lunch will be free today as going out for a meal with my mum and brother as he is off joining the army on sun. :( This fills me with dread but he has been told if he is going out to fight it will be the back end of next year as he has missed the start of the training to go out after the new year. He will be training to drive the tanks.

right, off to sort the washing out and get a cuppa before ds2 wakes up.

 Ooh are you coeliac ? My DS (just 7) was diaganosed on Monday and I can't believe the prices of the nice stuff - I know I cab get some stuff on prescription but the goodies aren't on the list

Hmm - I'd keep nagging on the wardrobe, sometimes you get what you pay for !

Have a nice meal, (can't find sad icon) for your brother

  • quick update from me as should really be getting ready for work.

Have been having a major declutter in the house, mostly our bedroom since we got the wardrobes!! got 2 for £180, cant say fairer than that, but it means i now have an even bigger ebay pile, its huuuuuuuhggggggeeee!!!!

have reached a tenner on both my free scratheez, played £1 this am so my account doesnt look like im abusing the free money;) and won a tenner!!!!!! happy happy happy:D:D am off work tomorrow so will withdraw my now £30 and transfer to the egg1 cc.

still waiting for the second lot of overtime from my fella's boss, will have to start nagging him to nag his boss for it, would see the egg1 cc come down to just under £550 at the end of the month!!!!

shopping every week so far has been around the £40 mark so doing well on that front although will be having to change accounts as mine has informed us we will no longer be paying interest on the overdraft but they will charge us PER DAY!!!!!!! worked out it will cost us bout £60 a month:eek: not clever if they want to keep customers...........

right, off to get the boys up and start the hecticness of the day,
hope all is well with everyone else?

Good work on the scratches, and also that's quite a reasonable amount to be paying per month on shopping for the family - is that from stocking up the freezer and batch cooking? Think I need to start working on that LOL!
