ok, maybe i am worse off than i was at the start of the year............

My wishlist for 2009 is to:
    • clear the credit cards, next card and reduce the overdraft
    • lose about 2 stone/ fit back into my size 10's
    • remain stepford wife like (begrudgingly) when go back to work
    • pay all bills on time so no black marks when it comes to renew mortgage in november.
The only thing i have conquered in that list is to pay all bills on time..........need to try harder me thinks.............
    December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

How's about a list of all the good things you've achieved then:D That's what I do when feeling a bit pessimistic, even if it's things like, "overpaid £10 off cc last month,", or "paid everything on time since whenever", or "got new deal on cc" and so on. Usually little things but shows I *am* making progress, even if sometimes it is in tiny steps.

  • i agree with jo - i bet if you do a list of all the good things you have done towards the debts it will be a lot longer :)

Hope today goes ok at work.

:jwoo hoo well done on paying the egg card off.

Sorry your not feeling to great, hope you .start feeling better soon.
 to your hubby hope he makes it up to you, or at least has one hell of a hangover;), reminded me of when i had my son, oh had a head wetting when ds was 4 days old, his mum picked him up and dropped him at the pub and the plank only went and left his keys in her car, so he gets a taxi home at about 2 in the morn relises no keys, banging on the door to wake me up and let him in, i had only been in bed 1/2 from a feed:mad:, think i nearly killed him, well a few things got thrown his way anyway.

    Take care hunny
  • I am so happy today coz..........

I HAVE JUST PAID OFF MY EGG CARD!!!!!!

    Way to go me!!!!

So only got 2 cards now and the mil (in my mini challenge) untill early next year when the overdraft will be added to a card to get it at 0% and hopefully stop paying the stupid charges on it. Think all in all i have paid about £7k off this year which would be great and would be at around £13k but added to it. (although think i over guestimated the car loan by £2k so think total is just over the £22k mark.

    Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey!!!!

gonna start my xmas shopping soon as will have the £500 saved, really dont know why i havent saved all year before, so much easier and less stressful than trying to do it out of 2 months wages and still pay for things like food.........(not planning on spending that much mind you, any extra will go towards something useful)

good news on the job front, i am gonna be made the wound care person in the home and am even going to apply to do a diploma at uni in it (work are paying the fee):D:D:D all looks good on the cv!!!!! hoping this will lead to a little bit more in the wage packet but not holding my breath.

how is everyone else??? seems quiet on here lately........

p.s. OH was poorly the next day, very ashamed (think that was more to do with my parents seeing him starkers.....) and grovelled like no ones buisness!!! i am even getting a plastic walk in greenhouse out of it!!!!!!! ds1 is so excited as he really wants to grow a pumpkin (no idea why as he doesnt like the taste) but we can grow a little more next year and start on time. reminds me of me being a little girl and spending all summer in my nans greenhouse growing stuff...............

  • Is it really sad that i clicked onto the egg page just to see my balance at £0?!?!?!?!

anyway, i am loving the fact my mum is the manager at a cafe, my freezer now has a nice bag of scones in it that were left over (they are made fresh everyday and the ones not sold usually get chucked out!!) and they have just got a new hot chocolate machine in so in my kitchen i have a commercial sized tin of aero hot chocolate!!!!! nomnomnom!!!:D so hot chocolate all round!:coffee:

my fella seems keen now to get the debts paid off now all MY hard work has paid one off. he just needs to stop spending in the garages and getting tenners out everyday he will be doing his bit!!!!
Doing well with the grocery shopping, seems to be in the £40's every week now so thats good. i have cut down really on the stuff that i think i will eat but never do and chuck out and am buying frozen veg now instead of fresh as it just goes off before we get to eat it. trying to make more soups for my lunches at work but cant tempt my fella to heat some up on the morning and take it to work in a flask. (and i am not getting up at 3 every morning to do it for him!!!!)

gonna do a chicken casserole with mashed potato for tea as need to use some of the meat up as my fella cant cook it and soon thats all that will be left. of course will be bulking it out so i can have some for my lunch tomorrow and some for the freezer. oooh, that reminds me i must go put my cannelini beans in a bowl to soak to add to the casserole! (note to self, dried works out cheaper but tinned easier!)

not much more to add really, few more payments made to the debts as have been paid................and thats my lot!

    hope your all well?
