Ds2 still grumpy but can see that the toothy pegs will be showing any day now so hopefully this is the worst. Ds1 LOVED school but was very naughty after we p[icked him up as he was shattered, bless him. Was warned that they can be really naughty the first month as they are tired.
Its my payday today so no longer over the overdraft, but its gonna be a close month.......wont be able to pay off the egg1 card this month as gonna use that money to get away from the limit. still waiting for all my fella's overtime (thinking bout £250ish all together) so at least the egg1 card will be under £1k!!! will try and be frugal this month so can use the following moths mortgage payment to pay it off.
Its seems that the more my eye is on the ball, the more into the overdraft we get, which really doesnt make sense as we should be spending less not more

I'm working towards doing midwifery too - slightly different as me starting from scratch but am having to wait till baby a little older for practicality - don't want to leave baby much just yet as only 6 months, want DD2 to be at school, want to get some more debt cleared and need to fit in my Open University course to get up to right science level.
Is it a definite or a possibility at the mo - ie do you def want to do it or just might depending on practicalities of studying?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

hey jo_r, wish i had done just the 3 year midwifery course but always said i wanted my own babies first and at 18 thought i was a little young so took ucas's advice and did the 3 years training first. I really wanna do it but having to weigh up the studying as dont want to go into it lightly and find my family and/or study suffer. If i apply soon then wont be starting till next sept when ds2 will be 2 and will hopefully be finished by the time he starts school meaning i could go into full time employment if i manage to find a job.
thinking its like having a baby, if you put it off till the right time then you will never do it.......... you just have to remember that its just not the time spent at uni and out in the hospitals, its all the hours studying and doing essays etc at home that you need to fit in.December 2018: £20,850.24. I know what you mean about worrying about if family or study suffer due to day-to-day circumstances at that time, I worry about that too.
Agree also about waiting for the 'right' time, when I decided yes, that is what I want to do, I was all for waiting and planning it all out but then baby came along LOL... Luckily it's worked out quite well - I knew I wanted DD2 to be in school (she's 3 now and just started nursery) before I started studying, which she will be by the time I've finished the OU study I need to get up to A-Level in science to be able to apply. That just leaves baby who will be going on 3 so not far off starting nursery by the time I have a start date (all provisional obviously at the mo.)
If I understand rightly you have the advantage of less study don't you as you are already a qualified nurse?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

yeah, i can apply for the 18 month course as already have the basics in things like vital signs (how to take blood pressure etc) and also things like signs of infections (wound, urine etc)from qualifying as a nurse so guess they think it will just take us 18 months to learn the midwife stuff, though from what i understand we still have to perform as many births in the 18 months as you will in the 3 year course!!! now i understand pixie when you said it is intense and hard work.December 2018: £20,850.24. Hi all yes it's very hard as i had to work full time hours whilst on placement (they may have cut hours down now but dont know) and still study at the same time you have 40 babies to deliver within the 18 months, if you do the 3 year course the deliveries can be spread out. Then you have all your antnnatal/postnatal/baby checks and other things to complete think it was about 100 of each plus complicated ones. I dont want to put you off but be prepared for some hard slog!!!!0

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a good weekend??
Got my shopping under £50 this week. was in town so quickly nipped to the market for my veg (their fruit goes off before you can eat it) and then just got the fruit from aldi. Think i came in at £40!!!:D Really need to fill the freezer though at some point this week as we are down to nothing really.
Have paid most of the debt payments, just the egg2 card that comes out at the end of the month. The egg1 card is now under £1K!!!!:j still waiting for my fellas overtime ( and thats with nagging the boss:mad:) so when we finally get that it will be winging its way to the egg1 card too.
STILL need to start listing stuff on ebay, dont think i will get a chance this week as working the next four days but will have to do some soon. gonna clear our wardrobe as my fella has kept stuff thats too small in the hope they will magically get bigger or he gets smaller so they fit...............they are going to the ebay mountain as he's not worn some of it since i met him 6 years ago!
Feeling really tired today and not sure why?? ds2 is still alseep....he woke up at 7.30 this morning, sang for 5 mins then went back to sleep. would wake him up but he's been a little grizzly the past few days so a good sleep might do him some good. figure if he was hungary he would of woken up again by now.
trying to get on top of my cleaning, washed all the kitchen cupboard doors and sofa last night so downstairs is smelling lovely at the mo. might have to clean the living room carpet tonight as its starting to get mucky and takes ages if i leave it till it really needs doing. Will be able to keep on top of the housework when ds1 starts school full time next week as will be able to do some when ds2's having his sleep. beats having them both 5 steops behind you undoing what you have just done.
might do some baking this afternoon. putting some of in the freezer though as if its in the house my fella will eat it before you have blinked. want to get a good stock going so will have stuff to put in my fella's and ds1's lunchboxes.
not much else to report, sorry for long post.

The shopping was for the week but just remebered that i forgot to get my fella his brown sauce (has to be daddies and he so knows if i buy cheap and put it into the daddies bottle) so will walk to mr a's after taking ds1 to school this afternoon. free exercise for me, fresh air and change of scenery for ds2 and coz only got the pram cant go mad and buy loads!! also need the small pasta shapes for the boys as perfect size for them both and they both eat way more than when use normal size cut up (and its wholemeal which aldi doesnt seem to sell?)December 2018: £20,850.24.
